Lamborghini has changed their logo after 20 years!.
But is there much difference?
(New: Left, Old: Right)

The logo, unveiled today and used on all the company’s official channels, is redefined by a broader Lamborghini typeface than its predecessor and by colors that are minimal yet bold. Therefore, black and white are reconfirmed as the primary hues, symbolising the clear identity of the brand, while yellow, along with the introduction of the gold color, is used as the accent color.

This revamped version of the logo becomes an integral part of the company’s distinctive identity and will also be applied on future cars. In addition, the bull in the center of the logo has undergone a major transformation. For the first time, it will exist individually on the company’s digital touchpoints, separated from the classic shield to lend it even greater prominence.

I took the new Lotus Emira for a weekend test drive. Having owned multiple Lotus's in the past but upgrading to a Lamborghini, I was keen to see how much has changed.
The answer to that is...a lot!
There are various engine configurations from their V6 powerplant to an AMG turbo 4cyl. And the option of manual or paddle shift.

I started off with the latest AMG turbo 4cyl with paddle shift. Clicking it into "Track" mode made it sound more aggressive. It was nimble & quick. But personally, it was lacking something. Something I would figure out later on.

After a nice long drive, I swapped to the V6 7 speed manual.
And immediately I found what was missing!.
It was that manual gearbox that is just such a joy to drive.
I went back up into the mountains, turned on track mode (with a beautiful V6 gurgle) & had a blast going through the gears, and it brought back that pure joy of driving.

This car sticks to the road & it's fun.
It's not slow either with a zero to 100kmph in just over 4 seconds.

With a price tag of just over 200k, its not cheap. But it's not expensive either.
Plus, it's a little head turner.

It's the type of car you can drive daily, yet take to the track on weekends.

Its no Lamborghini or Ferrari, but it will cost a lot less in both insurance & maintenance costs.
While still giving those cars a run for their money. And it's just fun to drive.

If you're after something sporty, then it's worth your while looking at what these Lotus Emiras have to offer.

Thanks to Lotus Brisbane for the lend of their cars. I still have a smile on my face from that mountain drive.
