It’s that time of the year again when we start to see these amazing creatures travelling north past our shores.

Did you know that Humpback 🐋 are known for their beautiful songs, which can travel for long distances underwater. These complex melodies can last for hours and are thought to be a form of communication, possibly used for mating or navigation. What’s remarkable is that each humpback whale population around the world has its own unique song dialect, almost like having their own musical culture!

Dressage by the Sea

Each year in February, Dressage by the Sea CDI is held at Willinga Park. Dressage is the art of riding and training a horse in a manner that develops obedience, performance, flexibility and balance, and tests both horse and rider's skill as they perform varying degrees of movement.

Explore Willinga Park's botanic gardens and collection of art sculptures and watch horse and rider dance across the sand.
