Have you been to Bruny Island lately?

If so, you might have noticed that Cape Bruny Lighthouse now has a new car park and there is easier access to the site.

The upgrades were delivered by Tasmanian civil construction company, Andrew Walter Constructions and local sub-contractors under the 2021 Parks Powering Regional Economies policy.

Bushwalking in Tasmania allows our guests to achieve, not only an adventurous experience in our native landscape but also reach personal goals, challenges and opportunities just to disappear with friends for a little while.

When the light was first lit in 1838, it became Tasmania’s third light house. Today, the history lives on and it remains the only lighthouse in southern Tasmania open for inspection. Listed on Tasmania's Heritage Register, Two Tree Point on Lunawanna-allonah / Bruny Island has historical and cultural significance. Depicted in a painting by Lieutenant George Tobin in 1792, before colonisation, the two trees still stand today, making them at least 250 years old.

Two Tree Point, Resolution Creek Historic Site is easily accessible and worth stopping. Keep an eye out for the small parking area as you head towards Adventure Bay.
