Some big smiles on the boat after these catches!
Throughout the day we spend some time trolling lures for Tuna & Spanish Mackerel.
We will clean your catch and pack it straight on ice to give you the best quality fish to take home. All undersize or unwanted fish are immediately returned to the water to increase survival rates and promote sustainability of fisheries.

Sea snakes can absorb some oxygen through their skin, which allows them to stay underwater for a longer amount of time before having to surface for air. Most species will stay underwater for around 30 minutes, but some species can stay down for an hour or even two.

Three Spanish Mackerel Facts!
- These fish are incredibly fast and can reach an average speed of 18 feet per second.
- Female Spanish mackerels can lay thousands of eggs at a time and between 500 000 to 1.5 million eggs throughout the spawning season.
- They like to swim in large schools for protection that can stretch up to 20 miles wide!

‘Contessa C’ is the largest and most comfortable day charter vessel in Broome!
She was built new by Legend Boats in 2005 and modified for charter and relaunched in November 2012. She is a 20m monohull cruiser of aluminium construction with a beam of 6m. Designed with a keel and raised wheelhouse, she is at home on the open ocean and easily capable of handling a wide variety of weather conditions. This hull gives a very stable platform at rest, and dry comfortable ride while underway.
The massive 60 square meter main deck is shaded 3/4 of the way and has 2 large daybeds for seating or lounging. There is tea and coffee making facilities, plenty of eskies to keep those refreshments cold and storage areas to keep your gear dry. There is a full size toilet/shower and hand washing facilities.

Snubfin dolphins are one of only three species of dolphin that are endemic to Australia! This means they are found nowhere else in the world.
We are so lucky that Roebuck Bay has the second-largest aggregation of snubfin dolphins in Australia, and has a current population of about 150 individuals.

‘Cayduck’ is our amphibious sealegs tender vessel which will transfer you to the mothership ‘Contessa C’ safe and dry. These amazing vessels are custom built in New Zealand and they make everyday life in Broome much easier. Broome actually has no jetties or landings to load passengers but with the sealegs boat it makes the task of passenger transfers much safer, enjoyable and best of all, you won’t get your feet wet! Brightly branded with AOC decals, you can’t miss it!

We had an amazing encounter with these beautiful cetaceans at Gantheume Point this morning. We see these guys really only once or twice a year and usually offshore on our fishing charters. This morning they made a close pass by Cable Beach, then rounded Gantheume Point and headed for Roebuck Bay. They were very curious and came close to our tender vessel on quite a few occasions.
