From 1 October 2021 the RiskSmart program in Brisbane is changing:

1. Fast tracking of low risk code assessable development applications will continue (subject to eligibility criteria).

2. There will be changes to the eligibility criteria, application types, and thresholds for low risk code assessable development applications.

3. Dual occupancies and multiple dwellings will be excluded from the RiskSmart process as they are not low risk.

4. Impact assessable development applications will be excluded from the RiskSmart process as they are not low risk.

5. The consultant accreditation model will be discontinued and replaced with an open access model subject to eligibility criteria.

6. These changes mean fast tracking of low risk development applications will now be determined by eligibility criteria and not the volume of development applications made by the consultant.
