"A Dream Called boBRENE"
Bob and Rene had a wonderful dream
they decided to name it boBRENE.
It was a vision so strong
they couldn’t go wrong.
They built a paradise so unique
on arrival we couldn’t speak.

Nestled in the quiet foothills of Mt Tamborine in South East Queensland, boBRENE is a quiet oasis; a peaceful retreat for the naturist where you experience the well-manicured and maintained gardens; the solitude of natural Australian bushland and enjoy the attention of the magnificent hosts, Bob and Rene in this delightful piece of paradise. Add to that, the amazing interactions with other guests of boBRENE and you have the perfect getaway.
One could only suspect that the adage often used to describe Queensland, “Beautiful one Day, Perfect the next!” was created with boBRENE in mind.
This 16 hectare retreat was created by Bob and Rene over a period of 5 years and first opened in Feb 2009 boBRENE now takes guests between the months of September to May of each year.
“…Nudists deserve something more than a tin shed …”
Their dream began in the early 1980’s when they visited their first nudist retreat in Victoria and said to themselves “Wouldn’t it be nice if we could do something like this?” The dream continued to grow until 1999 when they started a search for suitable land. 5 years later when they were shown “the perfect property” and they settled on 2nd February 2004.
From the moment Bob first sat down on a flat rock, pencil and paper in hand, over many hours, he sketched the vision in his mind.
Bob produced a series of drawings; Rene fine-tuned and value added. Bob studied Feng Shui and applied what he learnt to the design while Rene developed the colour scheme to be applied throughout and with great effect.
Their ultimate aim was to give nudists something better than a tin shed; and a retreat where they would become friends with, rather than servants to, their guests.
From that time Bob and Rene worked tirelessly, through both physical and personal hardships, to create what we all now lovingly know and enjoy. boBRENE!
They first opened for guests exactly five years later, on the 2nd February 2009.
boBRENE offers you the opportunity to relax in your own quiet little nook; relax around the pool and spa; enjoy the games room and recreational area with other guests; take a walk through the natural bushland and have some quiet time perched on Stoffa's Ridge where you can easily imagine that you are in total isolation.
The many choices of accommodation ranging from the luxury cottage, the B&B, Chalet, on-site caravan; the caravan sites or a simple day visit caters for the varying needs of the guests of boBRENE.
The dream continues to develop as the many guests of boBRENE form long lasting friendships, all attributable to the experience of visiting this wonderful place on earth.
From our personal perspective, we came to boBRENE not quite knowing what to expect. Thank heavens we did! From the time of our first visit we have never left without looking forward to our next visit. We now have a group of wonderful friends, both local and interstate, who we look forward to meeting up with at any opportunity.
In our recent visit to boBRENE, we found ourselves awakening to the cheerful sounds of the native birdlife echoing from the surrounding bushland.
Looking out the windows of the caravan, seeing nothing but natural bushland, we felt totally removed from the rigours and pressures of daily life. It is so easy to imagine and share the dream. May the dream continue to grow!
