Never too soon for a reunion 😊 Had such a great time with this bunch in Italy 🇮🇹 we decided to get together for a Melbourne catch up, relive a few Amalfi Coast highlights & have some laughs. We’ve been lucky to have pretty fabulous humans on all our tours & this one was no exception. There’s something incredibly bonding about spending a week with a small group of like minded people in an dream location doing what you love. Cheers to making fabulous memories together 🥂 🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♂️

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while & it’s not something I normally do. I’d like to give a shout out to Trtl Travel] for the little travel buddy pictured top left. For anyone who wonders if we travel business class to Italy for our swim tours…. No we don’t (sadly 😢). We prefer to spend the $$$ on nice accommodation & experiences & suck up the 22 hours of misery 😂 This time however we each invested in a Trtl Travel] neck support & were super impressed. Someone asked if using one of these is as good as travelling business class…. Short answer is No 😂 …BUT it makes one hell of a difference. Not only did we both get some pretty decent sleep, we woke without the telltale crick in our necks from trying to sleep semi upright, ready to hit the ground running , literally … less than 24 hours after landing we quite literally climbed a mountain on the Amalfi Coast & felt great.
If you’re considering how to spend your holiday budget & want to arrive in better shape than you thought possible in economy, give one of these a go. We’re absolutely sold, they truly are a game changer. Seriously considering making them part of our tour merchandise 😊 🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♂️

So many incredible moments on this very special family tour. Not only did Callum notch up the inaugural Lobster swim (Praiano-Amalfi & back) , this family created countless precious memories together & with us…. Thanks for the memories guys 🙏🏼 makes us smile just thinking about you 🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♂️

Girls day out in Positano 🌞 While other halves were swimming from Positano back to our base in Marina di Praia, Praiano 🏊🏽♂️(7.5km) we indulged in some retail therapy….. That’s what we call a perfect balance! Combing the cobbled lanes for Italian linen, perfumeries & jewellery shops made for a perfect morning! Being whisked back over the water to Praiano, shopping bags in hand, sea breeze in hair……. the ultimate way to travel 🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♀️

Just a few weeks ago & yet a world away 💙 Days filled with sunshine & blue water…. Sundown cocktails & feasting on fresh seafood under the stars with fabulous humans. It feels like a dream now but the memories are ours to keep. Experiences like this feed our souls. If you’re dreaming of doing this, don’t wait! We are not only about the sea & swimming….. sometimes we climb to great heights, hike & look at the sea from above 😂😂 Mother Nature (or King Neptune?) rearranged our itinerary a little on our 2nd tour this year, but you won’t find a more forgiving bunch than open water swimmers. Like our wise friends & they respect nature & go with the flow 😊 We had some incredible experiences we might have missed otherwise …. It was a lesson in trusting the universe & we wouldn’t have had it any other way 🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♂️

Take us back to blue skies & blue blue water, cruise days & water taxis, gentle evenings sipping cocktails by the sea, homemade pasta with seafood & lemon ricotta cake. As Melbourne skies turn a determined shade of grey & rain down on us relentlessly at least we have the memories to sustain us 😂😂 And of course next year! Just days ago this was what we were doing. Incredible memories made with this year’s group. Our Amalfi Coast Adventures take a different shape each time…. the sea conditions, the weather, the people all play a part in making each experience completely unique. What a vast contrast from the Amalfi Coast….. the Umbrian & Lazio countryside feel a world away. Civita di Bagnoregio has been on my wish list for a while & today we finally made it to this fascinating little place. Italy continues to surprise & enchant us 🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♂️

Peter contemplating the past 2.5 weeks here on the Amalfi Coast. We’ve learned a lot this year, above all that the weather gods dictate the itinerary, not us 😂 We’ve been humbled by our good-natured, gracious guests, their ability to go with the flow & take on new challenges, … & we are so grateful to the businesses who provide support to us here & make these tours possible…. 7 of us took on The Walk of the Gods today. The walk up to the path from Marina di Praia was a challenging way to begin ….. up, up, up 😫 & the path it’s self is not for the faint hearted. The stairs back down into Positano felt like the Never ending story 😂😂😂 Exhausted but happy we devoured beers & pizza before returning to our haven at La Praia….. what next? A swim of course 🏊🏽♀️🏊🏽♂️🏊🏽♀️🏊🏽♂️🏊🏽♀️😊

Buongiorno Positano! We’ve braved buses, shopped till we dropped, toured archaeological Roman ruins & ancient crypts… a fun filled day was had by all. Back in time for an afternoon swim…. bit bumpy but fun apparently. Must be happy hour now 🤔 Aperol Spriz anyone? 🧜🏽♀️🧜🏽♂️

Peter contemplates the climb from Amalfi ↗️ to Ravello. Last week we took the steps up to Ravello from Minori, an even steeper ascent, so we are definitely earning our pasta 😂 Pretty much everything you do here requires stair climbing & walking & of course Swimming 🏊🏽♀️ so no PT required…. all the training is purely incidental & the delicious food is guilt free 🧜🏽♂️🧜🏽♀️
