Day 3 of our cruise and we arrived into Juneau. The capital of Alaska, Juneau is surrounded by the ocean, and mountains and is the most scenic state capital in the USA. We took a helicopter to Mendenhall Glacier and hiked on the ice. To get there we flew over the very impressive Herbert Glacier and the Juneau Ice Field. We were so lucky that the weather was on our side as this excursion frequently gets cancelled due to bad weather. This was definitely a major highlight of our trip.

Day 2 of the cruise was a day at sea. To keep us occupied we booked to do a behind the scenes tour. Visiting the theatre, kitchens and store rooms, I95 - the staff highway, the engineers room and the bridge. If you get a chance on a cruise I definitely recommend it as you really get to understand what goes on behind the scenes.

Sail away day arrived and started with Norwegian Sun arriving into port outside of our hotel window. Our cabin was very spacious with plenty of storage space. The weather was perfect for sail away.

Day 1 - After a journey of almost 30 hours we arrived into Seattle and hit the ground running. A visit to the and was the perfect way to keep awake and try to help the jet lag.

Final day of the annual conference in Cairns was full of special moments. We heard from Emma Carey (the girl who fell from the sky) on the importance of travel insurance. Our final guest was the inspiring . The heart felt fireside chat to end the conference was both funny and emotional. It’s been a big few days in Cairns but so important to my business to network with my industry colleagues and partners.

As some of you may have heard in the media today, Carnival Corporation will sunset the P&O Cruises Australia brand and move the operations to Carnival Crusie Line.
This change will occur in March 2025 and Pacific Explorer will exit the fleet in February 2025.
Pacific Encounter & Pacific Adventure will be rebranded under the Carnival Cruise Line brand.
For those clients affected by these changes, I'll reach out to you as soon as more information is available.

This new structure will enable Carnival Corporation to continue serving Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific as a more streamlined and efficient organisation.

Last port on the trip. We arrived into the port of Tauranga yesterday and stayed overnight. A wander around town yesterday afternoon for some retail therapy, followed this morning with a hike up to the top of Mount Maunganui. It was worth the effort for the amazing views.
