The story of Isaac and Sam"

We started our 5 year plan a year a go, here in Australia.
They boys .d.a.v.e.y and .d.a.v.e.y Were training with coach Luis Ruiz 3 to 4 times per week.
They had a :

1) Strength conditioning program focus on football.

2) Gym program

3) Nutrition advice

4) Alot of hours working on their football skills and technique.

After 4 months of hard work in Australia, coach Luis took the boys to Spain, to a low division club, where the boys has been playing for the last 7 months.

Coach Luis told the boys that they needed to be the best players at that club , they needed to adapt themselves to the Spanish culture, weather, food, languages, football and that takes time.

Today after one year of hard work and dedication the boys are about to start their preseason with a professional football club in Spain.

This its just the starter of the 5 year plan, but we are on our way.

Congratulations Isaac and Sam.

Thank you for representing Australia and Ruiz Football Academy and opening the doors for a lot of more players with the same dreams as you guys.

Our academy branch in Spain allows us to truly integrate into the football system of one of the greatest football countries in the world. Our academy will work with coaches that are familiar with real European football. We want to provide real and honest information for those that are truly interested in entering the European football space. If an Australian player really wants to make a career in football, they will have to earn it through hard work and dedication.

Our Spanish program will give players the opportunity to have a real, professional experience in Europe, which will help players to develop and realise what their level is compared to European players of the same age. The package we are offering is as follows:

The reality of football in Europe for Australian players.

My name is Luis Ruiz, former professional football player, with a UEFA license.

I have been in Australia for the last 11 years, where I have been heavily involved with football clubs, academies and international programs.

Eight years ago, I decided to help players to travel overseas and chase the dream of becoming a professional football player. We sent a few players to Costa Rica, two of which got to play in second division.

After this, we started to focus on helping young players get to Europe.

European Football Program

I witnessed how a few academies and international clubs were selling packages here in Australia for young players to visit Europe. These packages included training sessions and the experience of playing against some of the European clubs. However, most of these packages were just money-making tourist attractions rather than a football development program. The cost of these programs were outrageously high for what they offered.

That is when I decided to work hard on creating a good program that would offer a real pathway for players, which was affordable compared to other programs and offered a real European football experience to our players.

We are proud of having been able to set up our Ruiz academy in Madrid, where we offer a great football program for local and overseas players and are working very closely with other Spanish academies and professional clubs.

The Challenge

A challenge we are facing here in Australia is that the people are not well informed about the level of football in Europe, the clubs, the cost, the culture, and the language. An examples is that in Australia anyone can register as a player at any club if you have the level to play there. In Europe this is frequently not the case.

People are not aware of how long it could take for a player to fit into European football and the European lifestyle. A lot of players from Australia are going to Europe with the dream of playing in Europe. However, upon arrival they are overwhelmed by the cultural differences. Other misunderstood concepts are the rules about Australian players being allowed to play in Europe and at what age.

Thus, I would like to share some information about European football at senior and junior level.

The reality of football in Europe for Australian players.

Senior Level
Professional clubs will not take just any player on a trial period. Any of La Liga football clubs will only give the opportunity of a trial to a player that is already playing at professional level, has a good contact (football manager), and can provide footage of their skill.

Semi-professional clubs
To be able to register at semi-professional clubs, a European passport or student visa is required. Signing with a semi-professional club will not pay enough to cover your daily expenses, meaning the player will need to find a job. Playing with a semi-professional European club is very valuable for an Australian player, as the level of most of the semi-professional clubs are higher than some of the A league teams in Australia. They play a completely different type of game, so it will take some time for an Australian player to adapt to their game.

Juniors level
To be able to play with a club in Europe a European passport or permanent residency is required. Obtaining permanent residency for a junior can prove quite difficult, as it depends on the parents’ eligibility to obtain one (i.e. through work, retirement, business, European passport).

All the major clubs run international and local academy programs which are open to anyone that can pay the fees. However, to actually be able to play with the club, a very high level of talent is required. A lot of players will need to start at lower divisions and make their way up to the top. This could take years.

By coming to Europe after the age of 13, it is almost impossible for an Australian kid to get a position in any of the big clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Ajax, Paris Saint Germain, Bayer Munich, Manchester United, West Ham, Juventus, Milan. Most players in Europe have been playing football from the age of three, going to 4-5 training sessions a week given by UEFA coaches. The intensity of the games are very high and players play much more aggressively than is usual in Australia.

What does Ruiz Academy offer?

So where does the Ruiz academy come in? Our academy branch in Spain allows us to truly integrate into the football system of one of the greatest football countries in the world. Our academy will work with coaches that are familiar with real European football. Instead of deceiving parents about the reality of European football, we want to provide real and honest information for those that are truly interested in entering the European football space. If an Australian player really wants to make a career in football, they will have to earn it through hard work and dedication.

Our Spanish program will give players the opportunity to have a real, professional experience in Europe, which will help players to develop and realise what their level is compared to European players of the same age. The package we are offering is as follows:

Cost: Starting from AUD 2500 per month.

Includes:

Accommodation

Four training sessions a week at a Spanish football club (we work with a good number of football clubs in Spain).

One profesional Spanish academy training session.

Three training sessions a week at Cristiano Ronaldo's Gym.

Tours to stadiums, games, cities, and gastronomic experiences.

I hope this offers a good overview of what we are offering.

If you would like more information about our Australian and international programs please get in contact with us at +61 426169511.
