Yes, that's all of us here at the Patch Adventures team, spread between Australia and Europe. That's all of our lovely bookings team, who you chat over the phone with. The most creative trip designers, our epic marketing team gurus and the most effective people in the world - our super-women on the booking ops team.

We all want to wish you a very cosy and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Enjoy the Christmas break, the time you get to spend with your favourite people and the world around you (wherever this may find you)! It's a magical place!

Thank you to all of our Patchies for sharing adventures with us in 2024! We can't wait to see what 2025 holds for our Patchie community

Also, we'll enjoy some short, but much needed time off. We'll have a short break, from 20 December to 1 January. So if you send your enquiry through during that time we’ll get right onto it from 2 January.

We are number two and proud of it

Did you know there’s another women only travel company in Australia - that’s bigger than us?

Yes: they’re called Sisterhood Women’s Travel

What we love about Sisterhood is that while they do their thing and we do ours, in the last 6 years we’ve never thrown shade at them. (And they’ve never thrown shade at us.)

In fact —-

- both companies are founded by women
- neither company has secretive ‘big money’ investors lurking in the background
- both companies have guests who are pretty stoked with the experiences on offer

Both of us have different styles of travel so we don’t see Sisterhood as competition .. rather we see them as cousins !

In fact: we regularly recommend Sisterhood to people when we think that their style is better suited to someone. If you want to experience the community of women’s travel but our trips are not to your taste, Sisterhood’s trips really do look like a lot of fun.

Competition doesn’t have to be cloaks and daggers. It can also happen with mutual respect.

Go to Saudi Arabia...? 'NO WAY'!

At least this is the automatic reaction of many people we speak with.

And it was also OUR reaction, too, let's be honest. A women only travel company.. going to Saudi Arabia… ? It's just not a sentence you'd expect to read.

We're not going to pretend Saudi Arabia has a spotless past. Like many destinations our Patchies visit (Egypt, Iran, Tajikistan come to mind), the Saudi government has a rep.

But then, after years of Patchies asking, we started looking into this historic but controversial country.

Sure, Saudi is opening up, but is it worth visiting? What do you think? Would you go there?

This is our fourth trip to India this year, and guess what? We’ve already planned another four for 2025 — most of them are already booked out! 🗓️🇮🇳

Check out our Patchies absolutely living it up on their Silk Road adventure! This trip’s been way more than just ticking off the sights – it’s been about music, dancing, hanging out with the locals, sharing delish food, and soaking in the unique vibes of each of the ‘Stans’. Every spot’s got its own charm, from the culture to the landscapes.

And yes, this bunch reckons they’re the ‘best group ever’... They are pretty cool, right - should we let them have it?!😄
