I was encouraged to use Bard by Google an AI "experiment". This is what it came up with:

Sure, here is a possible itinerary for a golf weekend for 20 men 1-1.5 hours south of Sydney with 2 rounds of golf on the weekend on 17th November 2023 for less than $400:

Day 1:
Arrive at the Illawarra Golf Club in Helensburgh (Closed some years ago) and check in to your accommodation. (no actual suggestions)
Play a round of golf on the The Dune course, (can't find this course) which is a challenging 18-hole course with stunning views of the Illawarra coastline.
Have dinner at the club's restaurant, which has a menu of classic Australian dishes. ???
Day 2:
Visit the Helensburgh Visitor Information Centre and learn about the town's history and attractions.
Take a walk through the Helensburgh Botanic Gardens and admire the beautiful flowers and plants.
Have lunch at the Helensburgh Bakery and Cafe, which is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.
Play a round of golf on the The Lakes course (If this is The Lakes that I know it is not open to social groups and hardly relaxing...), which is a more relaxed 18-hole course with a more forgiving layout.
Day 3:
Visit the Kiama Blowhole and see the natural wonder of the ocean water being forced through a blowhole in the rocks.
Have lunch at the Kiama Fish Market and enjoy some fresh seafood.
Drive back to Sydney.
The total cost of this itinerary would be around $370 per person, including accommodation, golf, meals, and transportation. Here are some specific options for each activity:
Guess I'll be employing EI for the foreseeable future....

Two Guinness World Record holding artists have paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II by creating an epic mural in honour of her 70 years of service.
Jignesh and Yash Patel have been working on the painting ever since news of Her Majesty's death was announced on Thursday. They chose a two-storey building in London as their canvas and, once completed, the mural will be visible from Hounslow Tube station. https://bit.ly/3DivoEl

Anyone up for this one year?

The Nullarbor Links concept is unique. The 18-hole par 72 golf course spans 1,365 kilometres with one hole in each participating town or roadhouse along the Eyre Highway, from Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to Ceduna in South Australia.

The Calcutta

The Calcutta will be a little different this year:

$100 from the cost of the weekend will go into the Calcutta and each player will draw a name out of the hat. The Calcutta will be different this year. Due to the increase in prices there will be one winner who will receive the price of the weekend i.e. $350 this year. This should prevent us from continually stumping up for the whip.

OK Chaps, time to start getting excited!

The timetable for next Friday is: 9.30am meet at Lithgow Golf Club 2 Golf Links Road Marrangaroo NSW 2790
Google maps tells me it is 1hr 50mins from my place but I don’t know where half of you live so look it up.

There will be NO carts so bring a buggy if you don’t want to carry. Lithgow is a pretty flat track so this shouldn’t be an issue.
I don’t know if they have pull buggies so maybe pack your own just in case. Oberon GC are difficult to get hold of
and while I think there will be some carts available, it will almost certainly be less than we need for the full field and again
I have no idea if they have pull buggies.

Do you know how you are getting there? Does the person you assumed would give you a lift know that they are giving
you a lift?

You will need proof of vaccination too but I guess we are all getting used to that by now. If you don’t have it on your
phone you will need a printed version.

While it’s not likely to be the cold Classic I had in mind, the evening may still be cool and there may be some rain so
come prepared with a jacket/umbrella etc. Oberon Weather Forecast | Today's Local Weather Forecast (weatherzone.com.au)

Gear list:
Clubs
Balls (lots of) The Course - Oberon Golf Club
Golf shoes
Buggy
Balance of money
Clothes

See you soon!

Bloody hell, fingers crossed we are still going...

Stay-at-home orders will be extended for a number of areas in regional NSW due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health risk.

Due to recent transmission of COVID-19, stay-at-home orders will be extended for Oberon LGA, Snowy Monaro Regional LGA, and for Menindee and Sunset Strip in the Central Darling Shire until 11 October.

Everyone in these areas must stay at home unless it is for an essential reason, which includes shopping for food, medical care, getting vaccinated, compassionate needs, exercise and work or tertiary education if you can’t work or study at home.

NSW Health will continue to closely monitor the evolving situation with COVID-19 and will not hesitate to update its advice to protect the health and wellbeing of the people of NSW.

We urge people throughout NSW to continue to come forward for testing at the first sign of even mild symptoms. To find your nearest clinic visit COVID-19 clinics or contact your GP.

High vaccination rates are also essential to reduce the risk of transmission and protect the health and safety of the community.

Use the COVID-19 vaccine clinic finder to find your nearest vaccination clinic, or visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/health-and-wellbeing/covid-19-vaccination-nsw/get-your-covid-19-vaccination-nsw

Let's hope they ease restrictions before the 19th November.... :(

⚠️STAY-AT-HOME ORDERS INTRODUCED FOR OBERON⚠️

Stay-at-home orders for the Oberon Local Government Area (LGA) will be introduced from 6pm today for seven days due to an increased COVID-19 public health risk.

This stay-at-home order will also apply to anyone who has been in the Oberon LGA since 20 September.

Everyone in this LGA must stay at home unless it is for an essential reason, which includes shopping for food, medical care, getting vaccinated, compassionate needs, exercise and work or tertiary education if you can’t work or study at home.

To determine the extent of the risk and detect any further potential COVID-19 cases in these areas, we are calling on the communities to come forward for testing in large numbers.

A strong response to testing will be a key factor in determining if these stay-at-home orders are extended beyond one week. To find your nearest clinic visit COVID-19 clinics or contact your GP.

High vaccination rates are also essential to reduce the risk of transmission and protect the health and safety of the community.

Use the healthdirect Service Finder to find your nearest vaccination clinic, or visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/health-and-wellbeing/covid-19-vaccination-nsw/get-your-covid-19-vaccination-nsw
