Tonight is the final session for these extraordinary and brave men who joined the Bulldogs AussieFit team for 12 weeks. The program sponsored by QUT and the Heart Foundation was created to offer men the opportunity to learn more about themselves in relation to their eating and drinking habits; their activity levels and options; creating sustainable change in the workplace, home and in social circumstances to enable themselves to live a more healthier lifestyle. I cannot thank them enough for throwing themselves into the course and personally sharing each week their highlights and "lesser" lights. It has been an honour to work with these men. The obvious highlight of the 12 week program was the round table discussion re set backs in life; how to deal with them and how to maintain motivation when hurdles are confronted. The group were delighted to welcome former Olympian Susie O'Neill to the evening. Susie's life story was an inspiration to the group and provided much discussion going forward. "We are what we repeatedly do - Excellence then is not an act - But a HABIT".
