END OF AN ERA AS P&O CRUISES AUSTRALIA BRAND TO BE RETIRED
Carnival Corp to absorb and sunset 90-year-old P&O Cruises Australia brand.
Carnival Corporation will retire the 90-year-old P&O Cruises Australia brand in a major strategic shakeup revealed today.

Effective from Mar 2025, all P&O Cruises Australia operations will be folded into Carnival Cruise Line, effectively doubling the brand's presence in Australia.

Pacific Encounter and Pacific Adventure will be rebranded as Carnival Cruise Line ships, with Pacific Explorer to exit the fleet.

Both ships will operate alongside Carnival Splendor and Carnival Luminosa, with no changes forecasted for either of the two existing Carnival Cruise Line ships.

The move does not impact P&O Cruises UK in any way, the company said.

Impacted guests will be notified in the coming days of any changes to future bookings.

Good morning fellow cruisers.

I was on board Celebrity Edge yesterday to have a look around. I thought you may enjoy seeing photos of this beautiful ship.

We viewed a number of cabins and the one in the photo is a two story villa with it's own plunge pool. The decore of all the cabin are in these lovely colours.

Anyone who books a full suite has access to the Retreat area which is exclusively for suite guests and the photo of the lounge is in the Retreat area.

There is an extensive spa area on board with all sorts of treatments on offer as well as a huge gym.

There are four main dining rooms on offer and while each menu is basically the same each one has extras with a nod to Italian, French, etc.

The Magic Carpet is a canterlevered area that goes up and down, it was originally built so that guests could get on and off the tenders with ease but it is also a bar and when lowered to deck 5 it forms part of the Raw on Five restuarant.

Virgin Voyages have dropped fares for their inaugural season in Australia.

Fares are starting from a low $149 per person.

I had the pleasure of being a guest of Virgin Voyages last week and it was a fantastic cruise. The crew and the food were certainly the highlights for me.
