📢Important Update for Clients Using BigPond Email Addresses

We are currently experiencing issues with sending emails to clients using .net.au and .com addresses. Our team is actively working with BigPond support to resolve the situation, but unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time for a fix.

In the meantime, we kindly ask you to reach out to me if you have a Bigpond account and are expecting an email from me. An alternative email address is the quick fix. Also, if possible, please report this issue directly to BigPond.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this matter. Thank you for your cooperation! 🙏

🌍✨ Embracing the flexibility of being a Personal Travel Manager has its perks! Here I am in my comfy room at Impodimo Game Lodge in the incredible Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa. 🐘While I keep an eye on my emails, I’m also treated to breathtaking views of wildlife right outside my back doorstep! Just moments after this snap, an elephant casually strolled by! 🐘💚 What I love most about partnering with TravelManagers Australia is the incredible support and resources they provide. It’s truly a dream job when your office comes with a view like this.

For our last day in South Africa we were very fortunate to experience firsthand the incredible Rovos Rail. We had the special privilege of boarding the private train to enjoy a magnificent lunch whilst also being able to explore the train & its cabins. The service, food & wine was excellent. Rovos Rail offers bespoke train safaris through the heart of Africa combining magnificent scenery with the glamour & excitement of the golden age of leisure travel. Journeys range from 48 hours to 15 nights with a maximum of 72 passengers in 36 superbly appointed suites.

Day 4 - We left Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) this morning to head to our first Game Lodge.
On the way we visited Bellevue Reserve where we did a walking safari close to the resident giraffes. This safari offers a rare opportunity to observe giraffes up close as they roam freely in their natural habitat.
While game viewing from a vehicle is a standard activity on safari trips, being allowed and able to to safely walk in a big game country adds a different & thrilling dimension to an African holiday. It is a rare opportunity not widely available.

Day 3: This morning we said goodbye to Cape Town & flew to Port Elizabeth.
Port Elizabeth is an industrial town on the south of the South African coastline.
Here we visited Masifunde. This initiative focuses on sustainability & is set up as a vocational Centre that trains jewelry crafters, artists, baristas and chefs. This is a place of hope for the local children & adults where a better future is being forged through training, education & support.
During our visit we spent time with some jewelry makers who taught us some of their skills in making bracelets & necklaces.
Afterwards we visited ‘Werk’ a design & build collaborative who also aims to improve the lives of others through design and skills training.
Tonight we experienced an incredible 5 course African meal.

Day 2 - what a day!
Our Adventure Began with Jeep Tours Cape Town in open top Jeep Wranglers exploring the Cape Peninsula. First stop was Boulders to visit the Jackass Penguin Colony waddling around on the beach - SO cute! 😍
The pinch me moment for the day was an incredible wine tasting experience & lunch at Cape Point Vineyards. This award winning winery has absolutely stunning ocean views. Definitely a great place to spend an afternoon picnicking and savouring a glass or two of beautiful wine.
With the top down we drove along Chapmans Peak drive and its awe-inspiring views to Hout Bay. We visited Cellars Hohenort, a Small Luxury Hotel in the Constantia Valley, for a look around before heading back to Cape Town's V &A Waterfront we had a quick site inspection of Commodore Hotel and Portswood Hotel before exploring The Watershed and Time Out. This vibrant craft and design space alongside a foodie haven allows visitors to see the best of Cape Towns chefs and artisans. Dinner this evening was at the exquisite Upper Union Restaurant.

Why you should use a travel agent.
I have had a few discussions with people lately about travel, and I want to let you know what you may not know, so perhaps when you book your next trip you might think twice about where you book it.
Most travel agents are small businesses. Either working for themselves, like me, or working in a franchise office, owned by someone else that is working there too. This does not apply to large retail chains necessarily, but sometimes it does. If in doubt ask!
All of the Travel Agents that work for Travelmanagers, are working for themselves. There's a whole network of us, probably one in your area. Head to the website to find one near you.
https://www.travelmanagers.com.au/ptm-search/

When you book through online platforms you are supporting big business, and not getting personalised service.
When you book direct with cruise lines, online hotel aggregators, or airlines direct, you are giving any commission travel agents can earn, straight back to these companies. If you book with us, we not only can earn some money, you also are getting peace of mind, that if something goes wrong, we can help you. We are a real life, caring person. 💜
Quite often, we can get you a better deal, or value add to the deal anyway. We can often match these deals you see online, and if we can't, we will tell you. We can let you know about insurance, visas, vaccinations, restaurants, what are must sees. 💚
We book reputable products, and are covered by the TravelManagers customer fund if things do go pear shape! 💙

Most travel agents do the job, not for the money, but because we love it, because it is in our blood, and we love to travel. We love to help people realise their holiday dreams, and it makes us happy.
This means we also have great destination knowledge. First hand knowledge, or recommendations from others in our networks - beats any other knowledge! 🧡

Most airlines no longer pay commission, so we are now forced to charge you a booking fee so we at least get paid for some of the hours we put in researching the best possible options for your travel, and so you don't then go and book direct, using the information we have provided. But you can rest assured, you will be getting the best possible deal we can find. Recently I saved a client $1000 on airfares, for the $150 booking fee she had paid. That's pretty good returns. 💜💜

In terms of pricing, the cost remains the same whether you book via the app, website, or through me as your agent. However, booking through me ensures a seamless travel experience, as I can coordinate all the elements of your trip—flights, transfers, and any extras—so everything connects smoothly.
Where my service is especially beneficial is in providing 24/7 assistance should anything unexpected arise. If there are schedule changes, service issues, or emergency adjustments, I can act on your behalf—saving you time on hold with suppliers and using my agency’s high-volume group sales and supplier relationships to help resolve any issues quickly and efficiently.

Please support small businesses, and share this post, so others are educated too! 🧡💚💙💛
