This descent down Passo Gardena into Corvara is just incredible. Here’s our group tackling it today… and stick with it, the road just keeps getting better and better!
We've had two great days around Lake Garda on this tour, so before we head into the Dolomites, let's have a look at some of the scenery we've covered so far.
Our last day of this years Giro d'Italia tours took us home to Cossato. We've based ourselves here since the beginning and Mama and the family are now our family. We finished our riding with a climb up Oropa, the scene of Stage Two this year and many historic battles over the decades. It's a beautiful climb and right in our backyard. The day closed out with a farewell meal to remember.
A little downtime for the team now before we kick off again for our 2024 Dolomite Experience Tour.
Day 08. The second last day of the Giro and a huge day for the pro's with two laps over Monte Grappa. We rode out from our hotel in Conegliano and onto the course nearby. Some elected to climb to the top while many rolled into town to enjoy the afternoon festivities and watch the pro's come past twice. It was a really full, fun day.
Day 07 on our Dolomites and Alps Giro d'Italia tour and no live stage for us today, but man, what a day out. We split into two groups, one taking a 105km loop and the other a 50km loop, both featuring the impressing Passo San Boldo with it's web of switchbacks through tunnels. Then an evening out in one of our favourite towns, the beautiful Conegliano. A day to remember.
Another rain effected day, but man did we get in some action. We set off from our hotel in drizzle and started on the famous Sellaronda loop. We managed to get to Arraba (via Passo Sella, Passo Gardenia and Passo Campologo) before a hearty lunch at Hotel Evaldo. Then it was into the vans and on to another of our favourite spots, Conegliano, and dinner at the castle, on band night. Perfect.
Back on the bikes this morning and a little warm up down the valley road before turning onto the San Pellegrino climb, then Passo Vales, and finally Passo Rolle on a section of today's giro route. Some wild weather, particularly on top of Passo Vales, but an awesome day even so, and some epic stories to tell. Sometimes it's the unexpected that makes the Dolomites extra special.
So it rained a lot today... if you watched the Giro you would have seen they cut a fair chunk of the stage away - it wasn't pleasant. But we made it into Bolzano and saw the pro's come through and then spent another enjoyable evening at one of our favourite places to eat in all of Italy.
Another simply incredible day on the road. A rest day in the Giro today, so we went to see what all the fuss was about yesterday with the climb from Bormio up to Livigno. Passo Foscagno (2291m) was amazing, with views in every direction.
After a pretty cruisy ride day one, today introduced our guests to a bit of climbing. After catching the stage start a few minutes from our hotel at Lake Garda, we hit the road for a loop including the Passo Ganda climb used in Il Lombardia. It's an extremely scenic route with some gorgeous rivers running beside the road in places, and epic vistas out across the valley in others. Truly beautiful.
After a week of rolling hills and coasts, our final ride of this tour was fittingly a 50km afternoon cruise along the coast to our hotel. A perfect way to look after some weary legs and make sure there was still plenty in the tank for our final evening. It's been an incredible start to our 2024 tours.
Day 06 of our first tour for the year was pretty epic. Rolling out of the hotel along the Sorrento coast, then climbing out of Sorrento and onto the Amalfi coast with its stunning cliff faces. A quick stop in Positano, to check out the beautiful view and restaurants (which turned into the end of the ride for some) then on to Amalfi and the climb to Ravello. Topping it off was another epic sunset out over the water in front of our hotel. It doesn't get much better than this!
One of the best. An epic TT day.
Day Two featured a couple of pretty nasty climbs as we wound our way along yesterdays Giro route. There was some incredible scenery along the coast! Unfortunately, a longer transfer today in order to make it to the Castle but there was still time for a quick stop into the stage finish to grab some merch and get a glimpse of the pro's. As usual, Castello di Monterone is one of the highlights on tour and this year we're here for two nights, just 300m from tomorrows TT course.
Some highlights of our Day 01 ride around Santa Margherita and Portofino. Magic.
Passo Valparola Descent
The landscape on the Passo Valparola in Italy's Dolomite range is really special, and rolling off the top of the climb into the valley below is no exception. This is the first switch of the descent captured on our 2023 Classic Climbs tour.
Gruppetto 23 - Tour Four Part Two
The second half of our custom tour in June contained so many incredible moments on and off the bike, but the highlights were definitely on the road. The Sellaronda, San Pelligrino, Mortirolo and Gavia all made their mark, but for most, it was Passo dello Stelvio they most wanted to tick off the cycling bucket list. It was great to see this awesome bunch embrace the Gruppetto spirit and make sure everyone made it to the top. Enjoy some highlights from the second half of this memorable tour.
Italy 2023 - Custom Tour Update
It's hump day tomorrow, so we thought it'd be a great time to show some highlights from the last four days on tour in Italy. We've taken in some incredible climbs already. San Boldo, Monte Zoncolan, Tre Cime, Giau and Fedaia are all behind us, but there's still so many more amazing days ahead for this crew... Can't wait.

Classic Climbs 23 - Day 08
Day 08 was our final full day for the 2023 Classic Climbs tour, and it was a ripper. The sun was back and we rode from our hotel in Bormio to the infamous Passo del Mortirolo. It’s another climb that’s regularly featured in the Giro and it did not disappoint. Then it was on to our Italian base in Cossato for a feast and more than a vinos. A huge day to end what’s been an enormous tour. Nearly 13000m of climbing and some of the most iconic routes in Italy. Can’t wait to do it all again next year.
