Hey frands! Just a friendly PSA from your travel gal...

If you or anybody you know is going to be booking a trip in the near future and wants to make sure they're covered in the event this Coronavirus nonsense gets worse PLEASE get in touch with me/put them in touch with me.

Even if you don't book the travel itself with me, I can organise your travel insurance with cover that will allow you to cancel the trip for ANY REASON (yes, including Coronavirus) should things worsen and your plans are affected. My insurance partner is the ONLY one in Australia offering this so you can't get it anywhere else, and although I am in no way buying into the CV hysteria (I still think people should be travelling), at the end of the day if you can get a bit of extra protection for yourself and your hard earned $$ *just in case* then why not take it!?

There are some conditions but they are minimal and the benefits far outweigh the very small extra cost that comes with it. So please, if you're travelling soon and haven't booked anything yet, don't risk it - just drop me a message and let's make sure you're taken care of 🙌

When people ask why they should book with me (or any travel agent for that matter) instead of online...

Putting aside the fact that it’s kind of rude to question my career and therefore my relevance to my face, THIS is why. Because I’m a human being, not a computer, who works for a globally successful corporation that has been around for over 30 years and will likely be around for 30 more. Because I actually give a s**t about you and the experience you have. In fact I have a vested interest in it. Because you have someone to do all the work for you and can rest easy knowing that if things go wrong (which they very often do) you have an actual person at your back to help you out.

You’d be amazed if I told you how much of my day I spend just fixing problems, and believe me when I tell you that this is not a random “freak” occurrence. Bestjet is (sorry, WAS) not a small, unknown website - it was one of the major players in Australia’s online travel booking industry and this is not the first time this has happened. I feel terribly sorry for the thousands of people who are now probably stuck with no flights and no money, sitting on the phone for hours trying to get through to a mystery person in a mystery country who probably doesn’t give a s**t whether they get to go on their holiday or not. But hey, at least they saved themselves $20 when they booked those flights! 🤙🏼

Sure, some of you might have had bad experiences with travel agents in the past and yes, not everything is within our power to fix. But like ALL industries there are good and bad workers, and I urge you not to write us all off because most of the travel agents I know will bend over backwards and put their own lives on hold time and again to keep their clients happy.

Bottom line... if you find a good travel agent who takes cares of you, listens to you, and is good at their job then hold onto them!! Be loyal, be respectful and I promise you will always be looked after.
