His expertise comes from having skied at more than 70 ski resorts around the world, including Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, and more than 40 different resorts in France alone. Not only has he explored the French Alps while on holiday from his current home in Australia, Gilles spent much of his adolescence on these remarkable mountains. From just 2 years old until he was 15, Gilles was fortunate enough to visit his family-owned home at a ski resort in the French Alps. Want some thrills & adrenaline without breaking the bank ? Try Paragliding in Les Arcs on your next visit to the French Alps. Paragliding is a popular activity in the French Alps in summer or winter and offered in all the Top French Ski Resorts.

Pretty much anyone can paraglide, from little kids to grand parents as long as you can ski blue beginner runs and straight approximately 10-15 metres for the take off (for snowboarding intermediate level is recommended).

You get an amazing view of the overall ski area within that valley, take in the fresh air and relax in a reasonably comfortable seat.

You also get to have control for a little bit during your flight which is a great experience and something you will always remember, that's for sure.

Welcome to an amazing, cheerful and unique Christmas themed Bar (all winter season): Chalet de Luigi. The Chalet de Luigi consists of a Bar on the ground floor and a beautifully decorated restaurant on the 1st & 2nd floor serving delicious traditional mountain food. It also features a really nice sunny terrace during the day for lunches and après.

This Bar & Restaurant is a must try on your next visit to Les Arcs and Arc 1950 for both lunch and dinner.

This time, after a couple of drinks at the bar, i enjoyed a delicious traditional raclette with Maeva, my cousing from Brittany, France.

Dog sledding is on many people's wish list when travelling to a French ski resort but not all ski resorts offer dog sledding or better yet, an incredible dog sledding experience through the forest where the dogs are more in their natural element rather than close the noisy ski fields.

Les Arcs has one of the best dog sledding operators in the French Alps called Paradisled. From chatting and observing, i could really tell the dogs were really well looked after and in fact, they absolutly love it and can't wait their turn to go for a run.

Paradisled has 58 dogs who only go running with the sleds every 3 or 4 days so they're always well rested.
