Comfortable relaxing farm stay cottage set on 90 acres on the slopes of the Wollemi National Park in the heart of the stunning Capertee Valley. For details and photos visit the website at www.caperteevalleyfarmstays.com.au
Home consists of :
- large living / dining room
- 3 good sized bedrooms
- 2 freshly painted rooms with Queen sized beds each with newly-renovated ensuite bathrooms (shower,
basin and WC)
- 1 Bedroom with 2 x double single bunks
- Newly fitted out kitchen
- Large outside deck area overlooking the valley with table for 6
- Enclosed yard with established garden (although not completely escape proof)
All bedrooms and bathrooms have additional heating and the living room fire helps heat the place in the depths of winter. There’s a TV, DVD player and iPod dock, but no TV reception. There's no phone reception at the cottage. In an emergency there's Telstra mobile reception at the main house (120 metres away from your accommodation) and other limited coverage by other carriers typically within a 2km drive. The cottage is a really comfortable place to stay and it's hard to describe but everyone that has been here has noted the really relaxing "karma" of the place. We are pet friendly. We even have some kennels.

Our Story
A pet-friendly country escape for people who want to leave the city behind and reconnect with nature. Loved by bird watchers, star gazers, bush walkers, wannabe tree-changers, artists, photographers, families, couples, friends and pets of all shapes and sizes.
Glenbrook Farm offers a private relaxing farm stay set on 90 acres on the slopes of the Wollemi National Park in the heart of the stunning Capertee Valley. We’re 3 hours from Sydney (2 hours from Richmond/Windsor) and a million miles from care.
ABOUT THE COTTAGE
Glenbrook Cottage is ideal for groups of 2 to 8 people. It consists of:
- a large living / dining room, 3 sofas with air conditioning unit and small wood combustion fireplace.
- 3 good sized bedrooms
1 Queen sized bed with ensuite bathroom: bath/shower, basin, cabinet and WC
1 Double sized bed with ensuite bathroom: shower, basin, cabinet and WC
1 Bedroom with 2 x double single bunks: chest of drawers, small TV to watch DVDs
- Recently fitted out spacious kitchen with electric hotplate, fan oven, microwave and reasonable selection pots, pans and basic necessities (see ‘self catering’ below)
- Large outside deck area overlooking the valley’s soaring sandstone cliffs, bushland and open farm fields (and our small flock of sheep/ alpacas)
Owners live in a separate house 120 metres from the cottage and are available if needed but respect your privacy.
SELF-CATERING The kitchen has most basics like coffee, tea, sugar, flour and some herbs and olive oil. But if you get here and find you left that crucial ingredient at home, your chicken has gone off, or you've run out of wine, then pop round and we will see what we can do to help.
Being 30 mins away from the nearest shop means you learn to stock up well. Depending on the season we may also have free range eggs for sale.
IT’S DIGITAL DETOX TIME If you’ve been dreaming of disconnecting from the rat race and reconnecting with loved ones, you’ve come to the right place. The cottage has no TV or wifi reception. There is limited to no mobile reception at the cottage itself, there is - however - Telstra reception and wifi at the main farmhouse 120 metres away.
Glenbrook farm cottage does have a TV, DVD player and an iPod dock. fyi the TV does not get reception but can be used to watch Blu-Rays and DVDs.There is also a Blu-Ray player and TV in the bunk room so the kids can watch their own movies. We are also happy to lend DVDs from our own eclectic collection at no charge provided they boomerang!
PET FRIENDLY As animal-lovers ourselves, we know the importance of being able to bring your best friends with you on holiday. Over the years we’ve welcomed: well behaved dogs of all shapes and sizes, rabbits, budgies and pet birds, guinea pigs, a cat. We ask that you respect the usual courtesies when in the house (no animals on the furniture/ bedding) and keep them away from farm animals. For their own safety, dogs are not allowed in the paddock with the alpacas at any time.
The large yard around the cottage is fully fenced but as the odd wombat or Roo does get underneath at times we cannot really claim its totally secure .For this reason we expect that pets will be responsive to basic commands and not be of a wandering or aggressive/ highly strung nature . This is as much for your pets safety as for our animals’ well being.We also have 3 full sized kennels, so if you want to visit one of the three National Parks nearby there’s somewhere safe for your pooch while you’re off exploring.
COMFORTABLE IN ALL SEASONS The Capertee Valley has something to recommend it in all seasons. Spring and Autumn are mild, however winter months are incredibly popular too with crisp mornings and a roaring fire to help heat the place in the depths of winter. All bedrooms and bathrooms have additional heating and additional blankets are available if needed, at no additional charge. Firewood is provided free of charge in winter.
In summer, fans in each room keep the air flowing and - on sizzling days - the airconditioner can keep the main living area pleasant.
TARIFFS The basic tariff assumes 2 couples staying for two nights and is for a minimum 2 night stay for up to 8 adult guests (3 nights during school holidays). The weekly rate is based on four adults. We are happy to quote for other permutations, just drop us a line and we will respond asap. If there is a promotional special on offer it will be the pinned post on this page.

ACCESSIBILITY The cottage is on one level and - with one step up to get inside - is probably wheel chair accessible. Please note, however, that doors to the entrance and shower are not designed for wheelchair access. One shower is a step in (not over the bath). Call us to discuss.
SUPERHOSTS Like most Australians, we pride ourselves on being good hosts. And our reviews reflect our love of this area and our commitment to making our guests’ stays enjoyable. Our guests love staying here as much as we enjoy living here. At April 2019 we have superhost status on Airbnb and Preferred Partner status on Homeaway.
