This is one of those special jobs.

See these legends, they’re not just anybody. That’s the Sprung crew. And, “who’s Sprung,” Well, it’s the crew from our local bike shop, our mates, a decent chunk of our social circle, and who we call when we need to bounce ideas around.

From early days of Into The Wild, we recall sitting in the suspension room with Troy (Owner of Sprung) bouncing ideas around for a mountain bike tour company.

Surround yourself with like minded, hard working, “can do” people, and great things will happen as well as a few laughs along the way.

This is a full-time position working 5 days a week and no weekends. If you were to take on this role, you would prioritize high customer service and have bike industry knowledge. This job has a range of different tasks to do as your daily. You would be talking with customers all the time, following up with suppliers and reaching our online audience, all within a day's work. Every few weeks, you get to take our Sprung shop ride with customers on local trails, so common sense and trail safety is a must.

What your job would entail:
⚡️Customer service of all levels; answering emails, phones and more
⚡️Working on our up and coming website
⚡️Stock taking, reporting, fulfilling, receiving and ordering
⚡️Shop Displays and management
⚡️Product photography for use on socials and website
⚡️Social Media planning and engagement
⚡️Capable of taking on shop rides every few weeks with customers on local trails with common sense and trail safety. (This takes place on our late night Thursday opening hours)
⚡️Product management and knowledge necessary
⚡️Face to face customer service
⚡️Submitting and following up with warranties
⚡️General day to day management of the workshop and other responsibilities

Sprung is a family owned small business who are passionate about bikes and froth for adventures with work-life balance. We don't work weekends, as we like to go riding and have time with our friends and family. We want someone with a passion for mountain biking, who has previously worked in the bike industry and is always keen on learning more.

One of the key things we have learnt about success is to surround yourself with good people and good businesses.

As a mountain bike tour company one of the most important businesses to us is a bike shop, but Sprung is so much more.

Troy, Felicity, Nobes and the team have helped, supported, fixed, given advice and rode bikes with us all the way through our journey.

We credit a good chunk of our success because of these legends.

Nearly a year ago Martin contacted us and wanted the trip of a lifetime.

We took so much pride, respect and responsibility in making sure Martin had just that. With just over five weeks in Tasmania, we rode Queenstown and Derby trails, and assisted in Martin’s wilderness adventures in Cradle Mountain and Mt Field National Parks.

“I felt my parting words to Rohan yesterday did not do justice to the exceptional time I have enjoyed in Tasmania. The various elements biking/hiking/ accommodation/ travel all messed together so smoothly and seamlessly that I became fully absorbed in my Tasmania adventure.” - Martin
