CPT Engineering have been joint venture with Keen Partners in supplying suitable operations staff for our business over a number of years and over the past year have had 2 long term workers (Michael & Javad) from Keen Partners employed under their migrant programme.
These guys have worked hard since their initial placement on improving & overcoming the language barriers, their workplace safety, technical skills and teamwork. As a result of their hard work and commitment to CPT Engineering, both Michael and Javad have now been offered fulltime ongoing employment at our Georgetown site and were proud to have them part of the CPT Engineering Team.🙌🚧

Located in Dandenong South we are looking for experienced and skilled Laser Machine Operator to join our valued team in a full-time position. We are currently expanding our shifts production and have a position vacant on after hours shift starting asap.

Shift position available ONLY

*Responsibilities and Accountabilities*

The successful applicant would be working on the state of the art CNC Tube Laser Cutting Machine.

The applicant needs to be reliable, self-motivated, QA minded and able to work with minimum supervision.

Previous experience with programming/operating CNC Laser Cutting Machine.
Mazak and/or Tube laser experience is an advantage.
Ability to inspect edge cut quality and check for correct dimensions.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Ability to load/unload laser cut parts.
Ability to multitask and maximise efficiency while overseeing machine operation.
Willingness to work in all areas of the business.
Flexibility to work alternating shifts when required.
Able to perform physically demanding processes on specific jobs for extended time.
Problem solving skills and time management skills are essential.
Accurately tag and identify all cut components.
keep the work area neat and organised.
Committed to safe working practices.
Methodical approach to work QA & work procedures.
Mechanically minded.
Good communication skills
Forklift License is critical.
Overhead crane experience and Dogman’s License would be highly regarded.
Perform other duties as instructed and assigned.
Additional experience that is applicable to this position,
drafting and nesting experience,
production work,
Shift Work
Machine Maintenance experience.

CPT Engineering recently had the opportunity to construct the new Wineglass Bay Lookout at Freycinet National Park.
Our scope of work included coordinating the project from basic surveyor points, through to detailed design drawings, Fabrication & Installation.

CPT were faced with many challenges along the way, including extensive planning, a long hike in and out each day to the work site, having all the walkway sections, including the new lookout platform, delivered by a helicopter. Keeping up with the changing weather conditions also proved very challenging at times.

The Lookout was carefully designed so that it did not have a major impact on the natural surroundings and could be used for many years to come.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment on this Project and the assistance that they provided was outstanding. This together with our CPT crew who worked tirelessly and took on the challenge with dedication, we are thrilled to be able to present the final product to you.
Well done to everyone involved and CPT are proud to have been involved in such an outstanding project.
