Dominic McAinden has been promoting music since the early 90's. After a chance conversation with a tour manger at The Woodford Folk Festival, Dom to enticed The McAlinden family into promoting a concert for legendary Irish musicians Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahil. The experience was magical and with the enthusiasm it generated The McAlindens went on to produce many more world class shows at Deakin Un

iversity, Geelong. Since that time Dom has owned two music restaurant venues, a concert production business and has been an active member of the Australian Folk Festival Scene. He now lives in Northern Tasmania under the spectacular Mount Roland and enjoys bringing some musical magic to his community.

Community is a big theme at this year’s Mount Roland Folk Festival with around 70 locals playing a big part of our little festival.
The local lineup includes community groups such as The Sheffield Community Singers, Mountain Echoes, The Kentish Harp Combo plus two Sheffield School Bands.
A highlight at last year’s festival was The Festival Choir. Singers of all abilities were invited to join the festival choir, learn a song and just hours later they were on the main stage singing with festival headline acts. What a hoot! Come and join us this year! You will be thrilled!

Wonderful campsite in the shadow of Mt Roland. 16 km (15 minutes’ drive) south-west of Sheffield. Dog friendly, and tents allowed. Toilet block present. No shower. Accessible to RVs, camper trailers, and caravans. Fees collected daily - $10 per night.
