We love supporting young Australian's to visit Timor-Leste and make a difference!

We recently partnered with School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences to facilitate their medical placement trip to Timor-Leste! During the 28 day program our team provided daily logistic support including transfering students to local medical clinics, meals, translators, accommodation, and pre-departure preparation and briefings. On the weekends we took field trips to Mt Ramelau and Atauro Island, showcasing Timor-Leste's amazing natural beauty and culture, and adding a deeper context to the students learning experience.

It's been a busy week for our amazing staff Elha, Zetania and Romeu! Travelling to Bali to complete new leaders training with . After the training we took a field trip to climb Mt Batur and visited cultural sights along the way. For once our team got to be tourists! We believe training opportunities and practical experience is key to our staff's proffessional development as tourism leaders in Timor-Leste.

We can't wait for our tours to start kicking off this year, we are ready to go!

Thank you to everyone who traveled with us in 2023!

This year was our first year back since COVID, and a huge effort for our newly formed team. We took on 3 new full-time staff, Manuela, Zetania and Romeu, and welcomed over 120 people across 14 programs to Timor-Leste.

Thank you to all our partners in Timor-Leste for the collaboration this year to make our programs a success and allow us to showcase the best that Timor-Leste tourism has to offer.

Thank you to our incredible schools, universities and travel agent groups for traveling with us. We hope you all have an amazing end of year break and we can't wait to do it all again next year.

In July 2019, Timor Unearthed hosted Libby (from @growinguptroppo) and her family from Darwin. They travelled to Atauro Island, a short boat trip 25km off the coast of Dili. There are plenty of family activities to do on Atauro including snorkeling and swimming, exploring local villages, playing football with local children, hiking, and visiting markets and handicraft stores. ๐Ÿ“ธ Thanks for sharing the great video Libby!
