Throwback to – A Celebration of Connection and Collaboration

Last month, from 28-30 October, we had the honor of attending the largest-ever ATEC Meeting Place, hosted by on the stunning Gold Coast. This milestone event brought together over 600 delegates, including 130+ buyers and 240+ sellers, for three action-packed days of networking, knowledge-sharing, and B2B meetings that totaled an impressive 5,500+ sessions.

As buyers, this event was a fantastic opportunity for us to discover innovative products, connect with passionate local suppliers, and gain fresh insights into trends shaping Australia’s tourism industry. The sessions on global travel trends, sustainability, and unique regional experiences have inspired us to elevate the travel experiences we curate for our clients.

Toasting to the end of an incredible journey through South Australia – today, we’re in Barossa Valley, home to Australia’s finest wines. Known for its rich history and stunning landscapes, Barossa is the heart of Australia’s wine country.

Our first stop was at Langmeil Winery , one of Australia’s oldest, surrounded by historic 1840s vines and a charming village atmosphere that brings Barossa’s rich heritage to life. Next, at Seppeltsfield Wines captivated by the estate’s dedication to its 100-year-old winemaking legacy, with stunning architecture and vineyards that tell a story of timeless craftsmanship.

Our last winery stop at Lambert Estate Wines offered panoramic views and a unique family-run atmosphere, showcasing the innovation and passion behind each vintage. Wandering the beautiful grounds of this estate was a perfect send-off to our Barossa experience.

Looking for the ultimate way to experience South Australia’s natural wonders? Let’s dive into today’s highlights.

Starting with a Southern Ocean Adventure, we cruised past Granite Island and Seal Rock, where fur seals and sea lions lounged along the shore. 🦭 And at West Island, dolphins, seabirds, and sea lions made for a wild, unforgettable scene!

There’s something magical about watching these animals in their natural environment – a true South Australian experience!

From the ocean to the hills, our next stop was Softfoot Alpacas. Nestled in the serene countryside, we fed and spent time with these gentle alpacas, each with their own curious personality. 🦙💚

To cap off the day, we took a safari-style wildlife tour, spotting kangaroos, emus, and other native animals roaming freely across the landscape. This is South Australia at its finest: wild, beautiful, and absolutely unforgettable.

From there, it’s off to Stokes Bay Beach – a hidden gem recently voted Australia’s Best Beach of 2023. This pristine white sandy beach features a sheltered rock pool that’s perfect for swimming. 🏖️

And for a true taste of the island, Clifford’s Honey Farm serves up sweet honey ice cream, made from Kangaroo Island’s unique Ligurian bees. 🍯🐝

Our day began with the breathtaking shores of Seal Bay Conservation Park, where sea lions lounged in the sun, basking freely in their natural paradise. Watching them was the perfect welcome to Kangaroo Island’s wild side! 🦭

Next, we kicked up some sand at Little Sahara! Nothing gets the heart racing like flying over vast, golden dunes on a private buggy tour. The sweeping views, the thrill of the ride, and even spotting koalas relaxing by Eleanor River made this an unforgettable stop. 🐨

After lunch, we ventured into the rugged beauty of Flinders Chase National Park. The Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, sculpted by wind and waves, felt like nature’s own art gallery—stunning and surreal. 🌊

And finally, the perfect way to unwind after a day of incredible sights: a visit to Kangaroo Island Spirits. We toasted with award-winning gins that captured the essence of the island in every sip. Honestly, it was like tasting a little piece of Kangaroo Island itself.

Imagine W***y Wonka was a wine, not chocolate lover, and the result would be something very similar to the d’Arenberg Cube!

Today’s adventure took us through the stunning wine region of McLaren Vale, where we explored this otherworldly cellar door, one of the most unique wine tasting destinations in Australia 🍷✨

With scenic vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, McLaren Vale gave us a true taste of South Australia’s passion for winemaking. Each glass told a story, and every view was like a postcard.
