My favourite bus of all time is the Paris number 40 bus which runs from Montmartre to Jules Joffrin and return. Also, I was able to see Moulin Rouge without the famous windmill, as it had fallen to the ground and smashed a couple of days prior. Unfortunately due to it being late in the day, I only got to enjoy the number 40 bus round trip once, therefore the majority of these pics are from the bus window - I promise next time I am in Paris - I will have more time and do it twice so you can enjoy pics from both sides of the bus! 🙀😺😽

While I didn't stay at the spectacular Lvtetia Hotel for my last night- I did enjoy the evening at a gorgeous boutique hotel - Maison Souquet in Montmartre - a beautiful belle epoque style restored "pleasure house" from 1905. My room was based on a courtesan named Mimi and inspired by Napoleon III - so pretty!!!! 😽

On my final day in Europe (yes, I am home now) - I spent in Paris and enjoyed my final hotel inspection at the gorgeous Lvtetia Hotel on the left back in St Germain des Pres. Yet another spectacular Set Hotel where I was lucky enough to see a Superior room and one of the amazing Penthouse Suites, with its own terrace and the most magnificent views of all the Paris monuments. Wowsers 😽

While in Lyon, we took a day trip on the train 2 hours to Annecy which is cute cute cute cute town (first time ever a 4 cute rating!) near the border of France and Switzerland. I WILL return to Annecy and a return trip to Europe focussing on cute towns and villages in France, Germany and all of Switzerland is already in the very very early "thinking about planning stages" - it won't happen overnight, however it WILL happen 😽

For our couple of nights in Lyon - we stayed at the very new and lovely Lyon Pullman hotel very close to Lyon Part Dieu train station and Westfield shopping centre. Ellen was luxky enough to have a balxony!!!! . Unfortunately the weather in Lyon was a gentle rain for more than 36 hours AND 99% of all shops are closed, so no shopping and not a lot of using the balcony! Instead a quick wander through the old town, playing cards in the bar in the afternoon and well earned mooch time. Dinner at the lovely !Pampa! restaurant both nights 😽

Our final day river cruising was spent in Beaune which is a lovely walled town at the center of the Burgundy winemaking region in France. Many people purchased wine - however we are "The Cosmo Ladies" and were so called on our cruise 😽

After our morning in Lyon, we then visited the cute medieval village of Pèrouges where several movies have been filmed over the past 70 years - classified ad one of France's "pretty towns", however it is only a cute rating from me 😽

The final day of "Le Mistral" where the cold and wind finally buggered off!!!! Yay for Tournon-sur-Rhone. Another quiet lovely village and home to the delicious Valrhona chocolate. Another afternoon spent in the relaxing lounge, with Cosmo's and cards

Afternoon on day 2, we zoomed up to the quaint and gorgeous small village of Les Beaux-de-Provence where many famous Presidents, Queen Elizabeth and the Grimaldi family including Grace Kelly have holidayed. Cute, cute, cute and truffle, truffle, truffle 😽

Day 1 & 2 of our river cruise we enjoyed Arles in Provence - a very pretty walled town with wonderful architecture. During our visit we have met "Le Mistral" which is a very, very strong and very, very cold wind which has bought out our full winter clothing. Le Mistral has been up to to 100kmh and dropping the temperature to 4 degrees... that is chilly!!!! Even for me 😽

We spent the last 2 nights in the lovely town of Montpellier in the south of France, catching a fast train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Marseille, then via Nimes. A lovely pedestrian town centre to wander and enjoy. Staying at the Hotel Bellaroïa, again close to the train station for ease of luggage transferrence! 😽

After Amsterdam, we zoomed on the Eurostar (again), however this time to Paris for one night (no immigration or customs - yay!!!) We had an AH-MAY-ZING dinner and cocktails at Nonos Restaurant at the Hotel de Crillon next to Place de la Concorde. Unfortunately the plan was for dinner at La Train Bleu (booked, and they cancelled) as they were closed for the evening. We were NOT disappointed in Nonos - it was spectacular. A quick Metropolitain trip back to the sweet Hotel Parisianer, very close to Gare de Lyon where we were leaving from the following morning heading to Montpellier in the south of France. 😽

While in Amsterdam, I also enjoyed the opportunity to inspect my new favourite hotel - the Conservatorium - which started life as a bank, then the Amsterdam Conservatorium before being converted to a stunning hotel which allows both the traditional and modern to shine. To say this hotel is stunning is a massive understatement - simply wow in every way 😽

After disembarking in the pouring rain from our gorgeous Avalon Expression, we then enjoyed a small canal cruise and stayed one night at the Movenpick Hotel closer to both the port and Centraal stations. Dinner was enjoyed at the SeaPalace - because Chinese in Amsterdam - why not? 😽

Visiting Cologne (Köln) was our last stop in Germany and allowed several hours exploring. As always the Köln Dom is so impressive and a lovely city to visit 😽

Apologies for the delay in posts - wifi onboard has been extremely challenging unfortunately. Cocktails though has been spectacular! Our cruise has been amazing as have the views through Mainz and Rudesheim while cruising the Rhine - I hope you enjoy 😽
