I just wanted to share the post I have put up a few pages that I belong to these are for persons or the family of persons with disabilities and also support workers.

"Hunter Valley Wine Tours – Recommendation

In May, whilst on a short break in the Hunter Valley, we had the pleasure of spending the day with Julie, the owner and operator of Hunter Hunter Valley Tours - A unique valley experience —a lovely, caring and understanding host. My partner and I were joined by one other couple on holiday from America, and it was a fantastic day.

I wholeheartedly endorse this company; their dedication to ensuring a worry-free experience was unparalleled. For once, I could simply enjoy the tour without the usual concerns and planning other than booking the whole-day tour.

This is the first time in the past few years since I acquired a rare neuromuscular disease that affects all the muscles in the body, meaning I currently need always to use a walker, unable to get onto or out of a chair without assistance or use any step.

Our itinerary included visits to wineries, a cheese shop, and a delightful restaurant. What stood out was the fact that all of these places included accessible bathrooms (some were basic but worked for me), which made the tour more enjoyable for me.

When Julie arrived, she parked in a suitable location to get me on the bus. I was able to use the access ramp at the rear, wheeling my walker into place and holding onto the handles while being raised, then using the walker to get to a seat at the back.

From that point on, I did not have to think about whether I was going to be able to get into the wineries or anything else, and my partner, who always has to drive me everywhere, was able to have a great day and enjoy good food, great wines, and very pleasant company—a wonderful day all around.
