Catherine, an Australian expat in London, is infertile and desperate. She hires Nellie, a US surrogate, to fulfil her dream of becoming a mother, beginning a journey that creates and changes lives. Written with compassion and humour by former 'Age journalist Jane Cafarella, 'e-baby' is inspired by interviews with infertile women and surrogates who share their stories online. The play has just been

'e-baby' was first directed & dramaturged by Anna McCrossin-Owen, who has directed for Melbourne Festival, Melbourne Fringe, Full Tilt at the Arts Centre, Essential Theatre Shakespeare in the Vines Aust/NZ tours and Victoria State Opera, including new Australian writing, monologue, Shakespeare, comedy, opera and music theatre.
