We've enjoyed building our accommodation business up since opening in 2018 and have just had our best trading year ever - by quite a lot! It's been a wonderful experience.
We've decided to make some life changes which mean this accommodation won't be available after the end of June 2024.

Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service is undertaking phase two operations of the wild fallow deer control project within the Walls of Jerusalem National Park.

The following areas will be closed to all users from Monday 29 April to Sunday 2 June 2024 for aerial shooting operations:

• Walls of Jerusalem National Park
• Central Plateau Conservation Area, west of Highland Lakes Road and north of Marlborough Road and Lyell Highway
• Tracks that start within the Meander Conservation Area and Great Western Tiers Conservation Area west of Highland Lakes Road

Entry is not permitted. It is not safe to enter these areas.

On Wednesday 18 October, Wild Mersey MBT personnel will be undertaking vegetation clearing along the Shale Road track from the boom gate south to the river. This trail will be closed for this period.
All riders entering the area are asked to utilise Bee Line to enter the trail network and exit to the trailhead via Session Sauce and Off The Hook.
Walkers are asked to use an alternative location for this day as machinery will be in use.

Great to see most of the Wild Mersey mountain bike trails are open again after repair work following the 13 October flood.

The news you've been waiting for...we're back! Trails are now open - with a couple of exceptions...

❌Railton Express (at Latrobe only) including Mersey River bridge
❌Woodhooker

The heavy rain has done some damage to trails and we are working away around the network to repair.

Letting our future guests know that Base Camp Railton was high and dry during last night's flood event. We have a bit of work to do on the driveway and are rather pleased that we weren't booked this weekend so we can stay here while cleaning up the flood damage next door at Seven Sheds Brewery Meadery and Hop Garden .
