From cubby houses to old school autos to extensions on the house, screenplays, art projects and that guitar that gathers more dust than you'd care to admit – side projects are a time-honoured tradition. And that's what our Cide Project is all about – tradition. Traditional cider apple breeds with funny and fancy names like Cox's Orange Pippin and Calville Blance de Hiver – all organic and sourced

from lovely Kalangadoo. Traditional tools and techniques. And a traditional passion for great cider. So pop my top, take a sip and experience the bright side of cider.

We think Jimmy and Georgie at The Bunyip Hotel Cavendish are pretty amazing, and it seems we aren't alone! Exceptional food and service and we reckon the drinks list is pretty tidy too 😉.

This must be one of Australia’s best kept secrets: a five-course meal from a fine dining chef in one of the country’s most charming pubs. And it costs under $50.

Independently owned + Small batch

In 2006 Pete and Caz planted an orchard of cider apples in Kalangadoo – and very quickly discovered they weren’t all that good eating. Consequently their cows were very happy (and fat).

It wasn’t until 2014 we thought we’d have a crack at making cider. We spent our weekend creating 100L of juice with 3 Breville juicers in the back shed.

Today our Side Project has grown into a independent craft cider and beerworks, that proudly calls Kalangadoo and the Limestone Coast home.
