Things that distract me right now…. Pink architectural paper daisies.
I’ve wanted to grow these for yonks, but never had a garden blasted by full sun ☀️ most of the day.
At night they coyly close up. No sun, no show 😆 I can relate.

MIA becoz Life gets in the way!
My focus has been all over the place juggling many challenges and changes - so many deadlines.
Stripping down a home to the core resounds with self - new beginnings are exciting and exhausting 😝

If you were wondering, yes my tours and workshops have taken a back seat. Nothing like being immersed in your own design creation!
Future good stuff includes a mix of food and art workshops, and immersive food tours.
A new kitchen and garden is focused on that, plus the wholesome realisation that one/me can’t do everything all at once, even with generous mental and physical support 🤷🏻‍♀️

2025 holds surprises and creativity offerings I hope to share with you ☺️

Meanwhile 2024 is screaming to an end while I tend flowers and make plans. And keep a watchful eye on our new edible garden.

Join us for Bite Book Club on Nov 9 to talk food and look out for some tasty events in 2025.

JOIN Bite Book Club to discuss the inspiring and uplifting THE GOOD LIFE book by Hannah Moloney, on SAT NOV 9 in the outdoor café area – the café is still a WIP so please BYO snacks and drinks.

“In these times” Hannah is a voice of hope, food, and environmental empowerment – starting in your back garden or on your window sill.

Let’s gather and talk food, food sovereignty, food as a connector, and how we can shape our lifestyles to fit more of the wholesome good stuff in…

We meet up at 10:30AM and our foodie chatfest runs to 12 noon.

SIP TIP: Next time you’re at THAT ice cream shop at the Jetty skip the ice cream cone and ask for a milkshake instead.
You have a choice of two scoops so my fave is one scoop of vanilla bean, one passionfruit - it’s not too passionfruit-y it’s just purrfect.

Or flip it and sip it. You’re welcome ☺️

And if you’re lucky 🍀 you’ll see a turtle or ray on your waterside wander.

Meet two of my green family of native plants… 🌱 At front are two Illawarra Plum trees, behind them two Blue Quandongs.
They have a way to go, as are my reno’s, but I am moving towards my plan of combining food, art, and garden tours.

Now you understand why tours and classes have paused but not disappeared 😆

If only each day had 72 hrs in it, and I had the energy of a 7 year old 😉

But it’s coming together …

I’m not down with the trending 3-day sardine diet, however it’s good to sneak a tin into your lunch routine once or twice a week.

Homegrown lettuce and chives for me, plus a rub of raw garlic clove over just toasted bread.

Quick, simple, and a boost of Omega 3!

ALWAYS LOVE an opportunity (fooditunity?) to eat dinner at You Beauty in Bangalow.

My fotos don’t show the flavour leaping off the plate - amazing GIANT prawns in a blood orange glaze, Southern chicken with sensational (imo) pickled red chilli, and drinks with a great mix of tunes from Elvis to early blues.

A nice way to cap off a day’s tastings at SAMPLE food festival.
