This morning I learned for the first time about crumbed lasagna bites. Instead I opted for Lasagna suddenly on the menu at The Green One.

What a great casual spot to call in for lunch or breakfast in a chilled zone where you can talk without screaming over not so great music like so many other cafes.

Interesting to look across the road to where a new 80 residential apartment building will look back at you.

This Green Galley veg burger with the lot is the best, messiest, deliciously healthy burger you can buy in Coffs.
Stacked with fresh greens, ripe avocado, 🥑 a fried egg 🍳 and a wicked smothering of mustard it’s a go to.

One thing I do well is mussels.
I used to be afraid of them in the kitchen but as usual hunger overtakes any fear 😆 This time I added half a homegrown red habanero to the shallot, garlic, curry powder and wine broth

Love Korean food but need a quick fix instead of cooking your own BBQ Korean food at the table at Soul1?
Instead choose from the prepared menu which is equally delicious!

Our choice was a seafood pancake and a super delicious Beef Bulgogi with cooked meat, but the chef cooks the meat on the spot so it’s a freshly made Bulgogi Bibimbap bowl.

Get your chopsticks 🥢 busy and mix it all up, the veggies, the fried egg, the kimchi and the rice hidden underneath.

Their kimchi is sooooo good I bought a takeaway container 😝

Full transparency - we haven’t been able to go ahead with the Supper Club (for now) as our application for funding was unsuccessful, and would have limited the event offerings. No pétanque sorry.

We’re so freaking excited and Coffs or should I say Côte d’Coffs has never seen anything like this - a French immersion that is centred on fabulous food, French chic, and fine dining made fun!

You say tomayto, I say tomarto, but what’s important is that that fruit is ripe, and red ALL the way through.

That only happens if you grow your own or buy from a grower’s market.

This is my idea of the perfect fried tomato 🍅 grown by me, and its sweet deliciousness devoured by me.

A rainy weekend in Coffs Harbour playing Coffs Harbour Monopoly and so grateful for no storm damage.

This is my wintery spicy Chicken throw together involving my favourite spices plus two dried limes and homegrown fresh curry leaves and rosemary, homemade preserved lemon 🍋 and fresh ginger.

Harvesting my ginger 🫚 is a challenge I don’t cut my fingers off in the process 😝 as I have a large patch growing in a raised garden the grass has overgrown so I’m digging into any rhizomes I can feel in the soil and hacking in with my Victoria Knox knife 🔪 😬

Today in a hurry in the rain I was lucky 🍀
