Malawi Veterinary Experience 10/10

"Volunteering in Malawi was a life changing experience. It opened up a whole new interest into wildlife and bush medicine that I did not have before going. Helping out in the vet clinic I learnt so much more than I knew back home and will carry the memories I have with me for life. The animals I got the opportunity to work with were spectacular and the people I met along to way, even more so. I was met with kindness and honestly never felt homesick at any point of my volunteering experience. It’s safe to say I have a second home now! Accommodation was so amazing. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the food was absolutely amazing - I have honestly never had better food!

Highlights?
1. Releasing 3 duikers into a National park after caring for them
2. Learning to do my first ever sutures
3. Doing night shifts looking after the two orphan vervet monkeys"
