Last week we were lucky to have WA Academy of Performing Arts Dance students here filming a choreography assignment. 💃🏼
They chose spots around the farm and also other beautiful locations nearby. 🌱 💦
These talented students will soon graduate after 3 years of university study. 👩‍🎓
We look forward to seeing them back at The Straw House again soon.

Calgardup Cave is just down the road from The Straw House & is an amazing way to spend an hour or so.
It’s an easy adventure and it’s suited to all ages and abilities.
When you arrive they’ll set you up with helmets with head torches and then you’re on your own for a self guided tour. This enables you to take in the caves beauty at your own pace, pausing to enjoy the colours, the silence and even the darkness, if you’re game to turn off your torch whilst sitting in the depths of the cave. 🔦
Totally worth putting it on your list of activities next time you come and stay!

Or...Visit any number of the amazing Margaret River wineries for some indulging, including the beautiful Arlewood Wines, that is literally just down the road.🍷🥂
Or...Go exploring on any number of Bush tracks for walks or bike rides including the Wadandi track that can also be accessed just down the road.🚶‍♀️🚲
Seriously...nothing more is needed to make a break away complete bliss!

The amazing chocolate creators at Temper Temper Fine Chocolate in Cowaramup are making specialty clusters especially for The Straw House guests! 😋😍
When you arrive for your stay, you’ll be spoilt with these divine chocolates and a beautiful bottle of wine from our local vineyard, Arlewood Wines, that’s just down the road. 🍷

So...here we are... previous owner and new owner... sharing our gratitude and happiness for the absolute content this sale and gradual changeover has brought us all. It honestly just feels like it's meant to be. 🙏🏻

Carolyn & Mark are stepping away from The Straw House, and I’m stepping up to take the reins and hopefully continue to bring you the charm and comfort of this absolutely beautiful property.😍

It's been a while since I posted to say that we were putting The Straw House on the market. I'm now delighted to be able to tell you that not only have we cemented a sale, but that the fabulous new owner intends to continue doing holiday stays! So there will be no interruption to your holiday plans, and the beautiful Straw House will continue to rock your socks!
We have had 15 wonderful years of hosting guests and meeting hundreds, maybe even thousands, of terrific people. Many have returned again and again and we consider you our friends in perpetuity. Thank you! And watch this space for more info, soooooon. Love to you all, Carolyn and Mark
