It’s a great reminder to us all, that no matter what our ability, we all have the power to change our lives, you just have to have the courage to do it!

Too many times we are told people are fearful of leaving the comforts and security of their homes but are desperately needing an escape or respite. But we are here to help with the process and link arms with travellers to ensure confidence each step of the way.

8.3.24 we attended an International Women’s Day luncheon hosted by celebrating women in tourism, events, arts & culture, sport, politics, education and other vital industries all with a focus on

Women have come so far in society pushing boundaries to forge their way forward in their respective professions to not only be included but on a more equal platform alongside their male counterparts. We celebrate the stories from the impressive speakers Karyn Murphy, .candace and John Warn who unite in their message not only of how women have pushed their paths but how they’re paving the way for future generations of women and how men are supporting change.

The biggest takeaway is hearing announce his government’s plans to pledge millions to support women to return to the workforce.

They all shared that women now:
- have a stronger presence in politics
- hold higher positions in corporate Australia
- participate in sports like Rugby League and AFL
- be able to compete full distance competitions like the Coolangatta Gold where previously they were only permitted to do the half race
- achieve Guinness records ahead of men in the same challenges
- participate in arts where they were previously told it was not possible due to ability
- push to achieve equal pay for the same roles and responsibilities
