We have lost an icon in Barbados & The Caribbean ,former Prime Minister Honourable Owen Arthur
The longest leader we've had here in Barbados.
October 17th 1949 until July 27th 2020 (Age 70)
Member Of Parliament from 1984 to 2013 ,(St. Peter)
My he rest in eternal peace.

Former Prime Minister of Barbados, The Right Honourable Owen Arthur, passed away earlier today at 12.26 a.m.
Starting today, Monday, July 27, due to the passing of the former Prime Minister, there will be a period of national mourning for three days. In addition, all flags will be flown at half mast.
Minister of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, Colin Jordan, will be the coordinating Minister for the funeral arrangements.
The Government of Barbados extends sincerest condolences to his wife, Julie, his daughters, Leah and Sabrina and his extended family.

Barbados

Barbados has 84 confirmed cases of coronavirus within its borders ,with 57 cases recovered , and no cruise ship in Barbadian waters as of May 13th , the government of Barbados announced that flights will resume as soon as the government permits . It also announced that JetBlue,Air Canada ,British Airways Virgin Atlantic will provide direct flights once borders are again open .
All visitors arriving from the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe will be subject to a 14-day quarantine.
