"The Maw"

2-3 hour technical hike, showcasing a dense jungle river and our rugged windward coast.

We meet at Bathsheba’s world-famous surf break, then hike along the coast towards the mouth of Joe’s River, where the trail becomes progressively challenging.

After scrambling upriver among slippery rocks and dense vegetation, we hang out and explore our final rest stop: a deep basin far in the tropical forest.

Once ready, we climb out the basin by crawling through coral rock and following a brief forest trail, which gradually leads to the road. Finally, out of the jungle, we bee-line back towards Batsheba’s tidepools for a swim near low tide.
