Barbados is home to three species of turtles: The Hawksbill Turtles, Green Turtles & Leatherback Turtles. These magical creatures play an important role in protecting the coral reef ecosystem of the island. They are found mostly along the west coast of the island and are quite friendly. ..And yes they all made it 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Barbados has an abundance of naturally filtered water due to our limestone makeup. Three Houses Spring is an excellent place to see this. You may find many locals here capturing water for holistic pursposes or even taking a dip in the crystal clear water 💦✨

Reposted from Sea turtles are protected in Barbados as the species is endangered, so we feel privileged that the beach at our resort is a nesting site. Our turtles nest all year round, and during the summer months, mothers visit and lay up to 100 turtle eggs in the sand. It can take 2-4 days for hatchlings to make their way up to the surface, and they usually emerge at night when it's dark.
