Have to admit the okra-based dish used to make my tastebuds bristle, but since moving to Barbados itโs grown on me and now the green banana and breadfruit varieties are my faves.
A part of four national dishes, this simple and cheap dish has been around way before the idea of independence was on the menu. The gooey cornmeal dish is likely to stick around for a while. ๐ฝ๏ธ

B.A.R Cutters is a rum shop in Bridgetown and also a food truck at Savvy on the Bay near Browne's Beach. They have delicious, award-winning cutters and are best known for their lamb and fresh tuna cutters (which I've tried myself - fantastic!).
