Chattel House Audio Tours Inc (CHAT) offers guided tours of places of historical significance. In addition, CHAT provides a variety of services including the rental, sale or lease of audio equipment to be used within your attraction as well as developing a unique script just for your guests.
Go back in time on a journey infused with island ancestors and the soft whispers of the historical buildings. Maybe it will be the the mysterious burial ground, or t he second oldest Parliament, or the birthplace of aged rum. It could even be the Historic St. Mary's Church or the oldest Street. Whether it is hearing about the Father of Independence and the “Bridge” ; as you move on to explore a taste of the commercial and religious spaces of the beloved Bridgetown. A little snack helps pass the time as you get a nibble of the sweetness that makes up the people known as Barbadians. We give you a sample of this rich town so that you can write your story “Once upon a time in Bridgetown...”
Long before the sport of kings and goat racing, the garrison Savannah held its own as St. Ann's Fort. Join the CHAT team for a visit to the Garrison UNESCO inscribed Heritage area where you will hear about early military life at this historic landmark, with its prison, hospital and cannons. Travel back to 1705 when the British troops first arrived and visualize the scene that was set before them. Hear stories about the forts that served to protect this jewel in the crown of the British empire. about the activities on the Garrison Savannah and its tunnels . Learn about the the visit to Barbados by the young man destined to be the first President of the United States of America and see the house where he stayed. Also see the monuments which commemorate fallen soldiers. As a finale, explore the rich history housed in the Barbados Museum.
