Puzzle, which is inevitable in IBA examination, has always been a riddle to me. I have struggled since I have started the journey. In Today's discussion, I would like to share some tips which helped me and the pupils who have taken the advice.
As a source of practice materials, I would recommend GRE Big Book older versions. The new GRE structure probably does not have puzzles in it. Here I am going to give some tips:
1. First, draw the condition in the rough sheet or in the question paper. Use pencil so that u can rearrange later.
2. There is always some obvious conditions. So, look for that. Generally, you will get 1/2 questions those you can solve by fulfilling the obvious condition.
3. The interchangeable conditions are always tricky. There will be 1/2 questions which can be solved by answering some other questions. So, try to look for that
4. Do not spend a lot amount of time after the very trick questions. It is not a computer adaptive test. So, you can get double benefit by leaving the toughest question. The first benefit is that you can save your time and the second benefit is that you can be safe from negative markings.
5, I generally recommend solving the puzzles at the later part of the examination. It takes a lot of time. So, it is better you get some marks first.
6. Finally, the obvious tips PRACTICE PRACTICE and PRACTICE.

Admission Notice of IBA, MBA 60 th Batch

13/05/2018

We have seen some students do not pass the written examination despite doing very well in the MCQ section of the admission test. Postmortem suggests that those students did not do well in the analytical/essay written section. The reason behind that the majority of those students allocated a very little time to the written part.
Every aspiring candidate must remember that all the parts of the "ADMISSION WAR" are equally important. So providing a good amount of time in writing, translation, and even Bengali writing a must do for a good preparation. Today I am going to give some basic tips about writing.
1. DONOT sorry Do not make any grammatical mistake
2. Exhibiting vocabulary skill will definitely give you an edge. However, (Do not start a sentence with But) sometimes this skill welcomes spelling mistakes. So, avoid words with confusing spelling. Moreover, try not to repeat same words in the consecutive sentences
2. Do not be very creative in your writing. Follow the conventional structure with little dramatization. Examiners want a structured essay with little creative idea. So, try to be a student, not a Sidney Sheldon.
3. In order to get an idea about the recent writing style, we would like to suggest you read the Daily Star regularly. It is very well written, and edited newspaper. As an icing on the cake, the newspaper will help you develop an idea about burning issues such as quota system, Banga Bandhu satellite, upcoming world cup soccer and many more. This daily is also available online for free.
4. Another important thing is you must, must , and must practice writing. Nowadays we are so habituated with the computer typing that our hands ache when we write. In this case, there is no alternative to writing. The more you practice, the better you write.
5. We always suggest you write with a pencil preferably lead pencil with 2B lead. It might slow down your writing speed but the pencil will give you an opportunity to correct your writing.
6. Try to read the sample answer or the best answers. This will help you develop the idea.
SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. GO AND WRITE A TOPIC FROM ONE OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR'S QUESTION. PLEASE, HAVE A LOOK AT THE TIMING ALSO.
