To all those celebrating Eid al-Fitr, Eid Mubarak to you and your family.
Eid this year will be very different, as we are unable to celebrate with loved ones in the usual way. Despite the difficulties, it is vital that we continue to follow the guidance, to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and save lives.
Ramadan this year has been particularly poignant with the coronavirus pandemic causing devastation here at home, and overseas. Our thoughts and prayers have been with those who have lost loved ones, and also with those working so hard, despite the difficult circumstances to support others.
There is so much hope to be found in the response to the crisis, and I'm delighted to see so many people from the British Muslim community helping those in need. I hope people are able to take some comfort and solace from this. Eid Mubarak to you and your family Eid Mubarak.
