Their house on the mountainside is perfect, bright, large, comfortable, quiet and super well equipped. The view from the terraces, both over the Pyrenees and the plain below, is fantastic. In 30 minutes on foot we could go to Céret, a charming village where you can find all the necessary local shops but also a beautiful atmosphere with its museums, its terraces and the immense plane trees which characterize it. Driving just 30 or 40 km, we went to the seaside, to Collioure for example, or to Perpignan, or near the famous Mount Canigou which we see from the house with its 2800 meters high. In short, the place is perfect for getting to know various facets of the Catalan country and enjoying the French art of living.

Marion & Craig (Germany) had "A wonderful exchange, everything was great!
Sechelt is a small, nice town, located on the ancestral land of the shíshálh Nation, with indigenous cultural and commercial organizations, a museum, village, and totem poles along the beach. The weather was very cooperative, and some drizzle added to the mystical atmosphere in the forest, where we walked along Chapman Creek to observe thousands of pink salmon migrating upstream to spawn. The view of the sea from the nicely furnished house and the balcony is spectacular and the beach is just a few steps away. Having had a marvelous time, we highly recommend this place for an exchange. The penthouse apartment was perfect for easy living and we loved the suburb of Subiaco with everything we could need on our doorstep. Christopher & Catherine from Poland, highly recommend exchanging houses with Rae & John in Cyprus. "Our hosts' house is a beautifully restored inside and outside historic residence, with wonderful Cypriot furniture and original trinkets. There are several terraces in the house, including one covered on the roof, from which we have a breathtaking view of both - the sea and the mountains (with the ruins of the Crusader castle). A light breeze from the sea meant, that even in summer it was never too hot there. Just like in a fairy tale. We had the impression that we were losing years while admiring these views. We were lucky (which is not always the case in parallel exchanges) to meet our hosts after our return from Cyprus to Poland. Rae and John are extremely nice and helpful people in every situation."

John & Kansinee's home is Great place to Explore Northern Thailand!
Penny & Peter from Canada say: "...We flew around the World (Toronto to Bangkok) so stayed several days in Bangkok each way to explore that interesting city - including arrangements with Kansinee’s brother for a private tour in the city - a Highlight! Their home in Udon Thani was a great base for exploring the NE using their car exchange; and then a 1 hour flight to Chiang Mai, an interesting province in NW Thailand. We enjoyed this trip even though we didn’t think we would travel so far after COVID. We’re glad we got to see beautiful Thailand (and Vietnam on our way home). Thanks John & Kansinee."

Rae, Cyprus loved their first house swap! Hence we didn't quite know what to expect but everything was arranged and organised perfectly we couldn't have been made more welcome by Christopher and Catherine who we now correspond with regularly on What's App. A lovely chilled time on the edge of a forest, so peaceful and lots of walking in a very safe environment. The polish are very outgoing people. An excellent experience all round and we look forward to more house swaps with Homelink.

Wegens omstandigheden is dit zoekertje voor de periode van 02/09 tem 10/09 terug beschikbaar. Deze lieftallige eigenaars zouden graag een ruil plaatsen met iemand die in Gent of Brussel woont.
Neem zeker eens een kijkje, Lissabon heeft vele mooie pareltjes om te bezoeken. De bekendste bezienswaardigheden zijn op loopafstand van het verblijfplaats. Al wat je nodig hebt is op 5min van waar je verblijft, en er is nog veel meer om te ontdekken. Kijk gerust via bijgevoegde link.

Hallo iedereen , er worden uitzonderlijke zachte temperaturen verwacht deze week!😎
Met deze leuke vooruitzichten wil ik een handige tip meegeven voor wie nog last minute op zoek is naar een ruil:
als u ingelogd bent en u naar de homepagina gaat, klikt u een bestemming naar keuze aan en drukt u op zoeken.
Bovenaan kan u "short notice" aanvinken.
U krijgt nu een overzicht van alle last minute mogelijkheden.
Voor Frankrijk zie ik bv dat er hier en daar nog mogelijkheden zijn om deze week of dit weekend te ruilen.

Hallo iedereen ,wij hopen dat jullie thuis of tijdens jullie ruilperiode zich een beetje kunnen aanpassen aan de hitte die verwacht wordt.
Hier onder geef ik jullie wat nuttige tips.
- drink voldoende
- zoek verkoeling op ( schaduw , zwembad of dergelijke )
- smeer je voldoende in
- indien mogelijk, blijf binnen tijdens de heetste uren
- draag indien mogelijk: hoofdbescherming pet/zonnehoed om een zonneslag te vermijden.
-hou ramen/deuren en gordijnen dicht en verlucht enkel op de koelste momenten ( nacht/vroege ochtend )

Maar vooral, geniet van het goede weer en van de welverdiende vakantie ( na de vervelende corona periode )

Ci-dessous, je vous donne qulques conseils utiles:
-boire suffisamment
-rechercher un rafraichissement ( ombre , piscine ou similaire )
-lubrifier suffisamment
-si possible, restez a l'interieur aux heures les plus chaudes.
-si possible, porter: bonnet protection/chapeau de soleil pour éviter les coups de soleil.
-garder les fenêtres/portes et rideaux fermés et n'aérer qu'aux moments les plus frais ( nuit/tôt le matin )

Mais surtout, profitez du beau temps et des vacances bien méritées (apres la période corona ennuyeuse)
