The sale of ski passes for winter season 2023-2024 in Bansko starts on October 1st
The seasonal ski passes for the lifts in Bansko will cost the same amount as during the last 2 seasons - BGN 1500, but only if you buy them until November 30th, 2023! You can get them at the cash desks of Ulen and in Maxsport stores! We have also prepared a special compliment for the first 1500 of those who choose to spend the 2023-2024 season in Bulgaria's Best Ski Resort - they will get a guaranteed seat in the stands at the finish line of the biggest sports event in Bulgaria for 2024 - Audi FIS Ski World Cup for Men in Bansko!

The best alpine skiers in the world will compete in Pirin Mountain on February 10th and 11th in giant slalom and slalom (GS,S) and the first 1500 of those who bought seasonal passes until November 30th can watch the white caravan from the grandstand at the very final!

The Association of Bansko Mehana's and the Union of Tourism Businesses in Bansko organise the "Unique Bansko" culinary festival.
The dishes are prepared by 14 taverns in Bansko. The purpose of the culinary festival "Unique Bansko" is to revive ethnic holidays and bring more cheerfulness and vitality to the town

From Saturday 2nd at 17:00 on the central square "Nikola Vaptsarov" there will be a culinary evening in the open air with local dishes, "catino meze" and "traan" will be prepared.

Further presentations will happen throughout the day on 3rd Sept.

Our Story

Simply cozy atmosphere in traditional Bulgarian style with excelent location in the old city.

Fully equipped - kitchen (fridge, oven, washing machine), 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, covered terrace with great view to the montain, small but beautifull garde.

The town of Bansko lies in the northeast skirts of the Pirin mountain, at the foot of the most beautiful karst part of Pirin and some 160km to the south of the capital city of Sofia. Its name comes from the old Bulgarian word of ban, meaning master. The town saw its apogee in the 18th century, when it served as a regional crafts and trade centre, with the caravans of Bansko traders selling Bulgarian produce of to***co, poppy seeds, cotton, gold, and textiles in the Aegean region and central Europe. However, the development of the alternative trade route down the Danube waterway deprived Bansko of its leading role in regional trade and gradually led to its decay after the second half of the 19th century.

At present, the town's inhabitants make their living primarily out of tourism and accompanying services. Besides high-quality ski and winter sports facilities, the town is famous for its Bulgarian Renaissance architecture and ancient remains. To mention a few, visitors are taken by the St. Trinity Church, the native houses of famous Bulgarians such as Neofit Rilski and Nikola Vaptsarov, marvelously designed houses built during the Bulgarian Renaissance period such as Velyanov's house, the Sirleshtov's house and Todev's house.
