The Ski-House is a 3 bedroom property (2 twin and one double) in Bulgaria with a vast open-plan kitchen/lounge, that opens out to a balcony with panoramic mountain views. The lounge area has a log burner and 2 sofas that turn into beds so will sleep 6-10 people. There is satellite TV and a Dvd player for guests use. Kitchen fully equipped including oven with hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, cooking
utensils and plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses. The Ski-House is ideal for families or groups looking to be next to the ski resort of Borovets whilst also enjoying the friendly village culture and extremely cheap cost of living of Bulgaria. The village prices are roughly half the price of Borovets main centre. Borovets and Bulgaria generally is around 1 third of the price of top European ski resorts. Ski hire and lift passes are around half that of the rest of Europe and can be arranged if required. Children’s activities include sleigh and bumboard hire, horse and cart trips, ski lessons for juniors, indoor bowling and a kindergarten are also available in the hotels. Short transfers to/from the Airport (1 hour)and transfers to/from the ski resort (15 mins) can be arranged as can breakfast and evening meals. If you are interested in a summer vacation there is plenty to do locally including, downhill mountain biking, pony/horse trekking, hiking and hunting. There are local hotel swimming pools accessible to visitors. There is also the spa town of Dolna Banya just along the road and various other spa towns close by. All excursions can be arranged through our local contact Dave who has a 42 seater restaurant and bar in his place at the end of the street and deals with all transfers and meals as well as being able to arrange car hire if required. Lake Iskar is approximately 20-30 mins away. In summer water temperatures reach 32c with air temperatures reaching 45c. It is 25 km long and a haven for water sports and fishing and there are places where you can hire out jet skis, sailing boats, windsurfs & pedalos. Dotting the shores are many small private coves, the ideal place for a family picnic or a relaxing swim. The most popular restaurant has an expansive terrace overlooking the lake, where you can enjoy your meal while taking in the wonderful views. The well known local Snow and Wake Bulgaria is the perfect place to learn how to wake board or water ski. Utilising all the latest coaching techniques, new boards, sliders kickers, boats, jet ski's and radio helmets. There are a number of golf courses in the area. Air Sofia is around 15 mins away in Ihtiman. There is also the St Sofia golf club and spa around 45 mins away in Elin Pelin. There is a Jack Nicklaus golf course that is part finished in the neighbouring village only 5 mins away. This year rally Bulgaria is part of the European Rally that takes place in June 2012. Rally Bulgaria is now part of the WRC rally and rotates yearly with Poland so should be back on the WRC for 2013.
