Tying in with Streetsmart’s 10-year anniversary this month, editor @bymelissa_vm was interviewed on @dubaitv last week. The show, Expo This Morning, covers topics relating to @expo2020dubai and so, as well as discussing Streetsmart, she talked about Bahrain’s wonderful pavilion, a striking reflective aluminium box encasing a collection art and objets created by contemporary Bahraini artists, inspired by timeworn traditions and handicrafts.

It’s hard to believe that we launched Streetsmart Bahrain a whole 10 years ago today, on 11 March 2012, and what a fabulous journey it’s been.
Four editions later, there’s so much for which we’re grateful: the countless beautiful places we’ve discovered along the way and for Bahrain’s cultural richness in general, the fascinating insights we’ve gleaned, all the delicious food we’ve eaten (in the name of work) and the wonderful, talented people we’ve met, who’ve been so generous with their time and tips.
Thanks to all those who’ve contributed in various ways, along with our fab team, Bader Kamal of @startupmgzn @philweymouthphotography, @shamalcomics, @hungry_fifi, @nunudeen, @amudara and @ishaqmadan, and of course to everyone who’s read and used the guide. It’s been great to have you along for this magic carpet ride.
If Covid has taught us anything, it’s that experiencing life in all its fullness is far more rewarding than acquiring things. So this Christmas, why not offer that special someone a special experience.
