BRAZILIAN PASSION: CARNIVAL, SAMBA AND SOCCER

Get ready to meet some of the Brazilian passion: Carnival, Samba and Soccer.
After the pick up in your hotel you will be taken to the Mario Filho Stadium, wide known as Maracanã Stadium. Visit the locker room decorated with shirts of some Brazilian Clubs, the warm up room and also the press conference room. You will even be able to sit down at one of the benches as if you were part of the backup team, and finally step on the field and feel like you are a famous soccer player.
Following the visit to Maracanã you will be taken Sambódromo, where the Carnival Parade takes place, and where thousands of people stay to watch their favorite schools and you will be taken to the Samba City: a space used to the concentration of the sheds of the samba schools for the Special Group of Rio de Janeiro, in which are executed the floats and some costumes used in the Parades during Carnival.
Visit the sheds of the Grande Rio Samba Scholl and see how they produce the costumes and allegories for the biggest Carnival party in the world. Try on a costume and for a brief moment feel like you or a King, or Princess, or even though you may be able to feel like a Greek God, or Goddess.
In a sequence you will have a break for lunch in a traditional Steakhouse where you will try the famous “churrasco” in a Brazilian way.
After lunch you will visit the Museum for the Brazilian Soccer Team. Learn how the most glorious and feared team of players were responsible for turning soccer into a national passion and understand why the 200 million inhabitants become a soccer coach during the game. See trophies, photos, images and state-of-the-art technology that make the visit to the Museum an amazing and interactive experience.
Head back to the hotel after this unique experience through Brazilian passions.

OLYMPIC BOULEVARD AND THE MUSEUM OF TOMORROW WALKING TOUR

Our afternoon tour will start with a meeting at “Relogio da Carioca”, an antique iron tower clock, located right at the exit of the Carioca Subway station, more specifically in the Carioca Square, of the busiest areas of downtown Rio, with a Metro station and lots of shopping around. It is located between several of the main streets of the city center, and continues as a pulsating heart of the city, where there is a lot of pedestrian traffic.

Then you will take the LRV (Light Rail Vehicle) and head to the Olympic Boulevard, where you will have a historical and cultural tour through the Sea Port Area.

The region called Porto Maravilha (Wonder Port) started to be revitalized in 2010 and has now a variety of interesting buildings and museums. You will take a good walk passing the Olympic Boulevard, throughThe GaleRio Porto Maravilha (Wonder Port GaleRio), a sequence of panels that make up an artistic pathway with walls that have been painted by 20 artists and the famous street art mural, called Etnias, painted by Eduardo Kobra.

Also you will have a chance to see the Rio Art Museum (MAR) and enter to visit The Museum of Tomorrow, which was designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava, and where we will “stay” for 1.5hr approximately.
Continuing the tour you will visit The São Bento Monastery, founded in 1590, with its monastic simplicity making it one of the most beautiful architectural complexes in Brazil and where there is a surprising contrast between the austere, purposefully simple appearance of the exterior and the richness of the interior.

You will then take the subway back at the Hotel areas, ending this incredible and historical tour.
