BahamasAir has just advised that penalties will be waived for passengers affected by Dorian this weekend

Based on current forecasts our offices in both Abaco and Grand Bahama will close at 12 noon tomorrow, Friday the 30th August in order to allow staff time to prepare for Dorian.

Dorian Update:

American Airlines:
Persons scheduled to travel this Friday and Saturday can change their reservations with no penalties. Re-booked travel must be in the month of September

Silver Airways:
Persons scheduled to travel from this Friday through and including Wednesday, September 4th can change their reservations without penalty. Re-booked travel must me in the month of September

BahamasAir:
No updates on any of their routes at this time. Penalties will apply for any changes

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Lines "Celebration:"
Friday the 30th is their last day to sail until after the storm. Please board the ship in Grand Bahama by 1pm. Persons booked for Saturday or Sunday will also be allowed to sail tomorrow.

Baleria:
Change fees have been waived for passengers travelling for dates inclusive of Friday through Monday.

Dorian Update:

Silver Airways has waived reissue fees / penalties on all flights between Florida and the Bahamas for the travel dates of Friday, August 30th and Saturday, August 31th

Travel must be re-booked between September 4th and 30th

We are expecting a press release and guidance from BahamasAir after 5pm this evening.

Please be advised that BahamasAir's fare has increased by $5.60 on domestic itineraries due to an increase in the security fees effective July 1st.

We are seeking confirmation from BahamasAir on whether the price increase is accurate
