Strong enough to tolerate and soft enough to understand, “A lady with a golden heart”.

“This is what i am supposed to do and it’s my responsibility to serve for what I have been paid”, says Tshering Dema, a humble, dedicated and passionate health assistant who always put her comfort at the back to prioritize her duty as a health worker for nearly a decade.
Polite and a kind hearted attitude is her strength driven by altruistic act that gives positive vibes to each patient she treats and the every smile gleamed upon those who are forbearing the ailment gives her more satisfaction to boost her moral despite pressurized working environment and a responsible mother of three with a toddler to take care.
Her assigned career started back in 2012 in one of the remote village in the country where modern amenities are just the desire of the community with lots of barriers to deliver the timely intervention yet prevailed in taking her responsibility and saved thousands of lives and touched the heart of every innocent villagers by providing basic health care, conducting delivery cases, sensitizing on health awareness, attending emergency outcalls, immunizing and providing elderly, mother and child care and many other life changing community services with outmost dedication over the period of seven years.
Her journey never ended with that as she ventured forward to the new place to impart the same responsibilities despite adaptation and situational barriers obstructing her livelihood, nevertheless she took it as a new challenge and even got the certificate of recognition on making 100 percent flush toilet in the community she served within the period of two years in spite of providing all the mandates up to the authorities satisfaction. Elderly people were overwhelmed by her generosity and the moment they sees or meets her, a broad smile appears on their face and come forward with boosted enthusiasm to either offer a gesture of appreciation or abundance of thanksgiving and those are the reason which keeps her motivated towards her profession.
Though the busiest schedule of her life was when she was transferred to the current workplace where population exceeds more than fifteen hundreds within the nucleated settlement and service availing frequency doubled from previous workplaces yet not bogged down and serves with all her might to retain her unsung professionalism.
Sometimes disheartening acts and mis-behaving attitudes both from the superior and the patient deprives from quality service delivery during the busy schedules assigned to deliver timely intervention for the patient’s welfare and management yet promises to thrives her passion for the profession.
