Lord Buddha's Parinirvana or Duechen Nga Zom is observed on the 15th day of the Fourth Month of Bhutaenese calendar.It was on this day that the Buddha was convinced, born, subdued evil gained englightenment and attained Nirvana.
It is considered one of the most suspicious days for Buddhist all over the world.
The full moon day that marks the five major events is known as Duechen Nga Zom. Dechen means 'great occasion' and Nga for Five and Zom stands for 'coincide".
The five major events are; Buddha is believed to have been conceived, born, overcome the evil forces, attained englightenment and passed away into Parinirvana on this great day.
