First Tourist to enter Bhutan through S/Jongkhar gate!

Mr. Remco Roobol and Mrs. Sabine Marie Antoinette Mulders have made history as the first international visitors to enter Bhutan via the newly inaugurated Immigration Checkpoint (ICP) at Darranga, Assam, close to the Samdrup Jongkhar gate. This milestone, achieved at 4:30 pm yesterday, marks a significant step forward in boosting Bhutan’s tourism sector.

This development is a commendable initiative by the government, enhancing Bhutan’s connectivity with neighboring regions and offering new opportunities for travelers.
