We are beyond excited to be welcoming our guests to the Kingdom of Bhutan after the 23rd of September 2022, which is declared the official reopening date for tourism in Bhutan.

We conducted the Guide Refreshers course on the 21st of September aimed at updating our guides’ knowledge, skills and abilities. Around 15 guides attended the course to revise as well as learn about new developments related to the job.

All our tour guides are certified by the Tourism Council of Bhutan and are mandated to attend the Refreshers Course once a year.

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged the economic sustainability of the textile sector in the country. With dwindling orders, weavers in rural communities have been the hardest hit. However, the National Design and Art Competition is seen as a platform for remote weavers to showcase their weaving skills and make sustainable livelihoods.
The competition saw 160 entries. Textiles form an essential part of the country’s cultural heritage.
