BREAKING: END OF THE ROAD FOR AIR NAMIBIA

Namibia’s flagship airline, Air Namibia will go under voluntary liquidation, documents seen by Confidente this evening confirm.

This resolution is to be registered with BIPA before February 18.

Confidente further understands that employees of the airline have been informed by their union and they are set to receive an ‘ex gratia’ payment equal to 12 months’ salary that will be dispersed over the next 12 months.

Government, the Air Namibia Board, the airline's executive and the unions are set to meet tomorrow to discuss finer details of the liquidation.

Passengers must carry two copies of COVID-19 certificate or photocopy of the original certificate.

Do not accept manually written (hand written) COVID-19 negative certificate at all times.

Ensure there is no alteration on the certificate.

The certificate shall bear heading of the test center and seal (stamp) and must be signed.

A 100% compliance is required.
